In 1992 Al Gore predicted that within two decades, Florida would lose 60% of its population due to climate change.
Today, 34 years later, Florida's population is 425% higher than it was in 1992.
@JakeOrlando15@MSkojr@HollyBullardFL It literally did. All you have to do is look at the ad valorem tax revenue of any city from 2019 and compare it to today.
@USFBulls2@MSkojr Absolutely. I keep seeing all the naysayers commenting saying this is going to be a disaster but I look at the stats and Desantis’ track record speaks for itself. He can come in with the overall idea but I highly doubt that he hasn’t looked into it deeper and saw a good solution.
@MSkojr@USFBulls2 The Florida DOGE hasn’t even scratched the surface in my eyes. They’ve only gone after bigger counties are the largest cities. I think it’ll be very revealing once they see the budgets of some of the mid-tier/smaller cities
@USFBulls2@MSkojr Having worked in local government I can say that it may be better to just cork the faucet and tell these local cities they have to get smart and figure out where they’re wasting cause if not, it’ll just be a slow drawn out process that most likely won’t solve the issue.
Today in Tampa, I outlined the Save Our Homes from Excessive Property Taxes plan that will eliminate taxes on homesteads.
Property tax revenue collected by local governments has nearly doubled in the past seven years (from $32 billion to $60 billion) and is expected to reach an astounding $83 billion by 2032.
Florida homeowners need relief. Now is the time to stand up for taxpayers, enact a historic reform, and save the home of every Floridian.
He’s typing in a search bar, quick show him the search option he’s looking for.
Perfect. He typed the next letter that is also the next letter in the option we just showed him so take that option away and show him an option that doesn’t match at all
$500 a month paid to social security for 40 years gets you $2k a month in retirement and $0 for your kids when you die.
$500 a month in the S&P for 40 years gets you $20k-$27k a month in retirement and $3.1 million to your kids when you die.
It’s time to end social security.
Massie losing 45-55 would not have been my wager. I thought he’d pull it off by a hair.
Voters don’t care about the growing debt. That was my opinion and what I said during the OBBB.
Now we have ground floor confirmation.
Printer about to go Brrr again.
Most people don't know that social security tax is 13%, as they only see what is taken out of their paycheck, and now what the employer is forced to pay (half of it). If you want wages to increase, eliminate the social security tax.
If Social Security is not a Ponzi scheme, then the SSI tax could be suspended today for young people under 30, to help give them a boost on wages, and the program would continue to remain solvent.
If you vote against foreign aid to Israel and call out AIPAC, then the Jewish lobby will spend $20 million to primary you, get the President to endorse your opponent, and destroy your reputation with a phony scandal.
If Massie loses tomorrow, you know Israel still owns Congress.
