@LukaDoncicStanD Never MVP. Never all pro. Never the best PG. Never an elite defender. Never a top 10 player in the league. So those things will dock him points. But a Hall of Very Very Good
@historyofdahoop@daliman13 Dwight was in the league far more recently than 1960s. If you need a guy doing it in 2026, Giannis is an easy pick. In this era you won’t find any track/field numbers for guys because by the time they’re 12 years old they already know they’re going pro or college
@walt26317@jeff_on_sports Disagree. Wilt if you dropped him as-is, l not in the top 2-3 but inside the top 15. If you gave him 5 years of training to catch up to skill sets, maybe he can be in the top 5-7 guys. But he couldn’t shoot, was lazy with his game, and would be facing much better competition.
@historyofdahoop@daliman13 That’s disingenuous. Dwight Howard was his size and had a 40 inch vertical. I don’t particularly care how well he could run a 400m dash. The court is 94 feet.
@therealnedbrady@Lekelxzyde@greenmachine18_ He was Olympic level high jumper… in 1956. In 2026 his PR (6ft 9) not top 50 in NCAA. The difference in era is technique / rules but also in his day there was only probably 5 athletes on his level. League was hardly even a job. Not international either. 30 teams not 8.
