@jeb129hpd@redsoxpayroll Yankees were 300+ last season and I believe the Jays were close to 290. The Red Sox have statistically been cheap the last 5 years comparatively to their market value.
@joshdub_ 7-16 in conference play and has yet to beat either Alabama or Georgia. Fire him tonight and Durkin can get a full weeks worth of practice in as HC.
@espn At some point can @espn pretend to not be Biased to the Yankees. These broadcasters need to wipe their mouths when they talk about Aaron Judge and company.
@acaseofthegolf1 I think Americans hate match play. They never play it and the big names in US golf avoid it. Europe grew up playing it and it shows.
I’d rather see 2 sets of singles matches but that’s just not the format. Although I think the US is better, Europe plays better as a team
@BOSSportsGordo@ChrisCotillo Doesn’t matter how aggressive you are. It matters if you’re smart with what you offer. You can’t stand there and offer crap when other teams are willing to make the necessary moves
@TheRealSeanMo96@BOSSportsGordo Hicks is a better version of Kelly. Great stuff, horrible control. Bailey is a liability. We routinely come out flat and have poor sequences and preparation. Hicks just doesn’t have it in leverage situations. Some guys aren’t built for it.
@RaffyFatBoi @BOSSportsGordo He’s in the Majors man. Either let someone know you’re burnt or go out there and throw strikes. He had 90 minutes to get prepared. Bailey and Company are obviously a massive weakness to this team. Bullpen is solid but overall the pitching in high leverage situations has been bad.
@RafaelaEnjoyer @JakeWallinger A 2month rental who isn’t pitching great isn’t a good idea. There are other SP on the market with a little more control. Cease is 100% hitting FA after this year anyways
@KylePorterNS I think you need to put Sam Burns on the team to pair with Scottie and then Gotterup if he finishes strong. If he doesn’t, then you pick between Patrick reed and Cantlay for good pairings.
@ForePlayPod@trulyseltzer@RiggsBarstool Riggs is a nightmare off the tee. Makes sense he wants to play a short yardage so he doesn’t have a 5 iron into a par 4 after shanking his driver 200 yards off the tee
@Billy__Harless@0xKennyAlt@ForePlayPod@trulyseltzer@RiggsBarstool That scratch golfer is a vanity then. If you can’t play 6900-7k as a sub 5hdcp then you need to work on what’s holding you back instead of playing from the women’s tees and lying about your fake handicap.
"Rafael Devers acted like a petulant baby. But petulant babies win the World Series all the time. Dysfunctional front offices don’t. It’s not Devers’ contract that’s under water, it’s Craig Breslow, who is clearly in way over his head." -@DanSecatore https://t.co/99SGaKxkDh
My main takeaway is that this is an MLB organization. Their job is to identify players that are going to make a huge difference on and off the field. They had their pick of the litter (Mookie, Xander, and Raffy) and knew all 3 of them for years. They made mistakes signing/not signing each of them, didn't read the market, didn't read the player, didn't read the fan reaction/attraction, and now that the dust settles they made mistakes at every single turn.
I don't care at this point if Raffy changed or if he was not willing to change positions multiple times in a season and that that situation had become unmanageable- it's on them for royally fucking up. You don't sign a guy to a 300M contract if you aren't damn sure you know who he is and what his place on the team will be. He got fed up with the way this ownership group has treated the team. Just like us. Whatever part is on Raffy to me is irrelevant when you take a huge step back. These guys have no idea what they are doing.
