"Since Chad Tracy took over as interim manager back on April 25th, the Red Sox have not won a single game at Fenway Park in which the opponent scored more than one run."
That and more ignominious inefficiencies from last night @OverTheMonster:

Listen, I don’t really think Brayan Bello is going to be the 3.35 ERA guy we saw last year, but on Friday he looked a lot more like that guy than he has at any point this season. More on what changed for @OverTheMonster ⬇️
"If Bello can command his changeup as he did on Friday, I might have to get on my soapbox and start screaming that he’s back."
@Jake3Roy on how the opener may have fixed Brayan Bello.

I wrote this whole thing about Craig Breslow potentially being on the hot seat, and then it came out that he might need an English-to-plain English translator. I should’ve waited a day to write.
Anywho, my latest with @OverTheMonster 😎
How much longer is Craig Breslow going to be in charge of the Red Sox? @FitzyMoPena asks this question in this week's Monday Morning Brushback.

"If you threw a paper airplane out of the stands last year, Ceddanne Rafaela would have swung at it. But not this year."
@MattGross87 on how Ceddanne Rafaela is quietly turning himself into one of the best players in baseball.

There's been a lot of chatter about the Brewers doing what the Red Sox couldn't by giving Kyle Harrison a changeup...and that isn't true. What they did do was increase his arm angle by 6 degrees, and it's seemingly helped him locate more north/south
- Fastball HiLoc% is up 20%, the swinging strike rate is up 4%
- Curveball LoLoc% is up 9% vs. RHH, SwStr is up 3%, and ICR% is down 31%
- Changeup usage is up, but whiffs and strikes are both down
Maybe it's a cope, but I'm still not sure that his secondaries are good enough to support this level of performance. The fastball is great, though
Suarez is naturally going to be compared to Alex Bregman, making it hard for him to convince Red Sox fans he was worth the money, but he’s been excellent through his first two months in Boston. How he’s doing it, for @OverTheMonster ⬇️
"If there were a poster child for this season, it would be Ranger Suarez, who signed just days after Alex Bregman left for the Windy City. Suarez has been excellent, but the team is just 4-5 in his starts, in part because they can’t hit." -@Jake3Roy

"The 2026 Boston Red Sox are a chore to watch. I don’t really remember the last time I’ve ever felt that way in my life. I’m not sure I’ve ever felt that way."
@FitzyMoPena reckons with a baseball disaster.

Last month, I wrote on @OverTheMonster about how uniquely terrible the Red Sox have been in adverse weather in recent years, and while today's game wouldn't quite technically qualify for the temperature conditions I laid out, it's once again relevant.

Think the Red Sox season is over? @MattGross87 not only disagrees, but has four reasons why they're going to make the playoffs.
