@JungianInvestor@BillSimmons I said the same thing. He's got to be ill. There's really no excuse for that first half, and while he's at least trying to show energy right now, it just doesn't look right.
At this point, if he's not hurt, I have to assume #Wemby is sick or something. I haven't seen a star player mail it in from an energy standpoint like this in years -- and it's such a bummer from someone who is, for all intents and purposes, always ON.
@MichaelGus57 Weather is the only reason we were in it. If Rome catches the Q1 TD or DJ keeps running his route, it's a runaway for the Bears. Or if Ben had better short yardage calls. LA just had better support around their QB tonight.
@Eddie_Herz@bdub2333@JesseRogersESPN@BPOTTER95 To be clear, my comment is not suggesting their handling of Horton led to this injury. I'm saying that, once injured, our medical staff seems to have no idea how to handle things. See Tucker. And so many other examples over the past couple of seasons.
@ChnRstrntKng@MrKingBardhi@Rightanglenews Yeah, leaving your team a player short during a pennant race is fair to question. If people could divorce themselves from making everything political, it's COMPLETELY reasonable to wonder why this was okay. Players do not skip important games for this. Ever.
@JesseRogersESPN@BPOTTER95 At some point, we all need to have a discussion about how Craig Counsell and his staff handle injuries. This season has been an unmitigated disaster, in that regard.
@bblock1924@CRoumeliotis In a meaningful season, yes. But this does let opposition know if they go after our studs, they’ll have to drop gloves. Not the worst thought to plant
@firstroundmock It's easy to say extreme things in either direction on Twitter. If you're right? You can re-post later. If you're wrong, people forget. Caleb had a fine year -- not great. He might never be great (OMG WHAT A NOVEL TAKE!), but no one would have been on that roster. Time will tell
@johnbreech oversight in your (otherwise great) “5 things to know about Ben Johnson” piece. Nagy was not the only coach to leave Chicago with a winning record since 1968. Ditka (106-62) and Lovie (81-63) had stellar careers there.
@MarcoRizzolo @CoachMiller_JHU @spiderverse2324 @NFLonFOX@BuckyBrooks “Everyone said.” Then the OC ended up being the worst in the NFL, the HC too, DJ Moore quit, Keenan Allen got old, and the few decent OL they had got hurt. Caleb has been quite good - not rookie of the year, but a solid pick
@EssentialBusin7@rpdunn8@JoshNorris I'm just saying the trade calculator suggests it is possible. My question wasn't "do you think it is?" My question was, "If true, do you consider it?" Obviously, it's moot if nobody wants to. But his value - at his best - is > than most 1st rounders and almost all 2nd.
@Chris92717403@McDumbie@JJWatt You’re right. The rookie QB made a small error and the HC, who had all of the power, chose not to help him. So it was entirely the coach’s fault. Your literal ONLY job is to help your players by having experience and perspective they lack. He didn’t.
@ExecutiveHostJB@TalesFromUranus@DTyeti@JJWatt Yes he did. He said in his postgame interview that his coaches are in charge of the timeouts. You can say that’s stupid (it is), but who made that rule? The coaches.
@JohnDenverHojaa@y_no_uponly@joshkezer They literally coach their QBs to “not lose” rather than to win. So much pride in 0 turnovers, while scoring 10 points. Until they realize that points matter more than safety, they will keep ruining QBs with potential
@NFL This is the crap that ruins QBs in a narrative-driven NFL. If Eberflus was a real HC, the story today is "Caleb leads end-of-game drive to steal a win." Instead, 'Flus gives Daniels a free 13 yds, then no pass rush to fling a Hail Mary. His time as HC is over
