Some people fight in a way that's downright nasty in family court. That's not exclusive to men or women. Same with lying.

From practical experience I can tell you that even with corroborating evidence (police reports, documented injuries, witnesses, etc.) that's really hard to get. For either parent.

I worked in family law for years. You need to have evidence to get a court order. An order that cuts off all contact, even for a couple of weeks, is not easy to get.
