King Ranch in South Texas covers more than 825,000 acres โ making it larger than Rhode Island.
Founded in 1853 by Richard King, the ranch grew into one of the most famous private landholdings in the United States, shaping cattle ranching, land management, and the economy of South Texas.
It also helped develop the Santa Gertrudis breed, recognized as the first beef cattle breed developed in the United States.
Could you imagine one private ranch being larger than a U.S. state?
Opened in 1923, Fiatโs Lingotto factory in Turin had a rooftop test track.
Cars were assembled inside the five-story factory, driven up through spiral ramps, and tested on the roof before leaving the building. At the time, it was one of the most unusual industrial buildings in Europe โ a factory where the production line ended on a racetrack.
Fiat stopped using Lingotto as a car factory in 1982, but the rooftop track still remains.
@wbuxtonofficial Full beans would be great, right @F1 ? Much better than 5 laps behind a safety car telling everyone to get ready for a last lap shootout, then Just Kidding!
Interesting that Ferrari seem to have increased their brake cooling outlet area, at a track where there is very little braking.
I wonder if this is just pass through cooling, that never touches the brakes, to take heat out of the rear wheel/tyre?

@IndyCarOnFOX@Hinchtown Next fundraiser should be for Fox to change that awful tone when there is a radio message, people would pay good money for that. Who came up with that?
@marshallpruett@Cvillalobos_46 Indycar would lose a lot of viewers if they dumped the hybrid. That's the only reason I even watch, it's fascinating to watch them deploy and recharge lap after lap. Without them, you would only be left with loud screaming engines & close wheel to wheel racing showcasing drivers.
UPDATE: @NASA can confirm a fireball over New England at 2:06 p.m. EDT on Saturday, May 30, 2026. The meteor was about 5 feet (1.6 meters) in diameter with a mass of 5.6 metric tons and entered Earthโs atmosphere at roughly 42,000 mph.
The meteor traveled through the atmosphere from northwest to southeast for 26 miles before breaking up at an altitude of 31 miles and producing a meteorite fall into Cape Cod Bay.
Based on the latest data, the energy released at breakup is estimated to be equivalent to about 230 tons of TNT, which accounts for the sonic boom.
