This can be prevented by reintroducing wolves and cougars to predate deer; and keeping wildlife like opossums, hawks, and snakes around to control the tick and rodent populations.
Stop tilling. Tilling releases far more nutrients than plants need. Tilling destroys soil structure and life. Tilling is a fast way to turn good soil into worthless dirt.
I am sick and tired of people mocking those who care about the planet. Clean air matters. Living forests matter. Healthy oceans matter. Animals matter. Biodiversity matters. Wanting a livable world for future generations should not be controversial.
@strong_sistas The truth is, data centers will take less than 1% of all available commodity crop land.
And truth is… commodity crops are not that healthy for the soil and environment anyways right?
@AllieJade1 This is the most destructive practice a farmer can do.
Non-tilling farming and diversity of crops is what ensures long term soil health and productivity.

Significantly more land is used for growing biofuels than is used for solar
You can’t eat biofuels
But I never hear any complaints about that
(You can’t eat ‘golf’ either)
Congratulations to new Nobel Peace Prize laureate María Corina Machado for her courageous struggle to bring democracy to Venezuela. It should inspire those engaged in similar struggles around the world - and remind those of us lucky enough to live in America that we have a solemn responsibility to constantly preserve and defend our own hard-won democratic traditions.
A solar farm has much higher biodiversity than a corn or soybean field.
Panels improve moisture retention and reduce soil erosion.
Combined with regenerative grazing, it can be a very powerful tool to rebuild soil.
Yesterday, batteries supplied 27% of the power at peak demand in California.
A true "energy dominance" policy agenda would recognize the massive benefits of solar + storage.
@mark_collins09@duncancampbell No way you are saying this for real😂
You like that sulphur smell in the morning from the refinery? Or the smog sunset vibes?
Seems hard to communicate this to the "don't put solar on farm land" folks. We are already using an insane amount of farm land TO PRODUCE ENERGY (not food). Solar is just a *MUCH* more energy dense, efficient, and cost-effective use of this land.
@LLSKYGIRL@bryantheden@zerohedge Homie. Majority of these folks work hard and pay taxes. Majority of them that came through TPS are also educated.
They provide value to America’s tax base.
