today is the one-year anniversary of the release of my album EURO-COUNTRY. it’s almost impossible to put the last 12 months into words, so instead here’s a recap of some of the highlights of the last 12 months.
August 25, Eventim Apollo, London.
Jack White stepped into the spotlight only hours after Dolly Parton left us at 80… and answered with a spectral, heartbreaking “Jolene.”
In that moment, the song became a farewell letter written in guitar and voice.
🚨 BREAKING:
Famous actor Jason Statham displayed a Palestinian flag on his car.
"Even spitting in the faces of our so-called artists and singers would be a waste."
How old was Caicedo when your media goons dragged him like a rag doll during his first match for Chelsea. Where was your write up then? You can't pick and choose who to love just because of the passport they possess. That time is long gone
Jason Arday wasn't the first academic to be accused of plagiarism at Cambridge. He wasn't the first person to have made implausible claims about his life in an autobiography.
But he was the first where those things became a front-page story, across multiple papers, for days and days.
‘Black Mirror’ and ‘Loki’ Directors Say They Rejected HBO’s ‘Harry Potter’ Due to J.K. Rowling’s Transphobia: ‘Absolutely F—-ing Not’ https://t.co/hhinWxd1Af
Premier League+ are giving Singapore fans ALL 380 matches live for £25.50 a month.
In England, you’re looking at over £100 a month for Sky + TNT… and you still miss over 100 games because of the 3pm blackout.
Shocking how the English fans are treated.
Rip off Britain. 🤮
‘Black Mirror’ director Ally Pankiw reveals she turned down directing the ‘Harry Potter’ HBO series:
“It simply is this easy to say no to funding transphobia!”
After a surprisingly pleasant telephone conversation with Graham @Glinner Linehan (set up by our legal teams) I am delighted to confirm that Mr Linehan has apologised for his defamatory tweet. He has also agreed to donate a significant sum to a trans support charity of my choice.
Hi @andyburnham we pay £60 a month for Sky Sports and TNT Sports, yet that still only gives us access to 70% of the games.
Meanwhile, fans in Singapore pay £25 a month and can watch every single match.
This is the English league, yet English fans are paying more and getting less. Surely that can’t be right.
Please can you look into this and make the coverage fairer for fans in England?
We shouldn’t have to pay a premium just to watch our own league. No wonder many fans buy dodgy firesticks!
Let me get this straight... they get Premier League+ giving Singapore fans ALL 380 matches live for £25.50 a month.
But in England, you’re looking at over £100 a month for Sky + TNT… and you still miss over 100 games because of the 3pm blackout.
Absolutely stinks.
