Do we wonder why kids are getting hurt?
- They’re made to throw all year in baseball
- They have nonstop 2 a days in the summer for football
- They play year round AAU/club schedules in soccer & basketball
Their body cannot handle it. We are failing them

"It's hard to eat healthy"
Base every meal around a solid protein source...add in some rice/potatoes as you see fit.
Add in some veggies/fruit for more micro-nutrients.
Basically 90% of my diet and has been for years.
People just need to stop eating like children.
According to the researchers, recent data demonstrates that a mere eight weeks of supervised resistance training resulted in significant and meaningful decreases in depressive symptoms among young adults.
These results strongly indicate that resistance exercise holds great potential as an effective remedy for mild or subclinical depression in this particular age group.
Might be one of the best things I ever read on youth athletic development...this is coming from an Olympic lifting coach Don McCauley.
"I'm not going to spend a lot of time in this book writing about the developmental holes I believe most U.S. athletes have because of improper preparation for high level sports performance most have received. Let me state this. If you are a pre-teen or teenage athlete who competes in four or five sports per year or unending competitive seasons, you are in an abusive situation, not athletics. If you haven't taken or been given time to run through the woods or streets or alleys with your friends, jump up on rocks, jump rope, wrestle anyone that came by, skate backwards, play hop Scotch, bale hay or chop wood, climb trees, jump off a swing for height and distance, play dodge ball, climb over a fence, play Sandlot football and do back flips and cartwheels for fun, you haven't been properly prepared for high competition levels in true power sports." Parents & sports coaches
Please stop trying to tell strength coaches how to do their jobs
Last I checked, we don’t come out on the field, court or ice & tell you how to run a practice
