@andyburnham Trying to put my 5 month old to bed in this heat is hard enough, without some total plumb sack deciding to sound a nuclear missile warning sound via my phone just as they drift of to sleep.

@andyburnham could you do me a solid? Could you consider that :

1. We all know its hot
2. A wild fire warning is typically best done at the start of a heat wave rather than when the temp has dropped 10°C
3. Sending it at 7pm, when the hours between 9am and 5pm exist is brain dead at best

@_willowthewisp_ @DreamLeaf5 Went to LA and Texas mid summer a few years back and it was degrees wise hotter than the UK for sure but the due to the those areas having what they do to cope it was actually enjoyable. Friend from the us came over when we had a heat wave, said it was surprising how hot it felt

@_willowthewisp_ @DreamLeaf5 Gotta think, alot of the places else where e.g. US that get really hot don’t have the 90% 10°C for the rest of the year and your infrastructure is build for it. Our buildings are made to retain heat. Weather we have like this are outliers so there acclimatisation to consider
