"AC Odyssey is bad because they reused stuff from Origins", no, if it's bad, it is because of poor level design and balance
And yes, I insist that all ACs are special in different ways
Unpopular #gaming opinion: reusing assets in games is fine
I don't care if I've seen this tree or that haircut in the previous AC or whatever, I want a new game, a new experience, not a new kind of fancy bushes
Especially if we're talking about realistic graphics, like, it won't matter anyway, the visual mostly consists of level art, light and post processing which is always unique
That is a rare example of level design that makes the game harder because designers deliberately broke the rules
I loved AC Valhalla from the start, now I love it even more
Most infuriating #leveldesign thing in a while
You're supposed to headshot kill 28/28 guys, also hit 29/29 weak points, ok, that can be done
But that's what happens:
1. They stumble upon oil jars and die
2. They destroy the platform they stand on and die
3. They shoot each other
So what did the devs do:
1. Put the shooting challenge in a narrow cave
2. A cave full of oil jars, so you miss once - you lose
3. Took away the right to make a mistake literally everywhere
4. Including 3 guys that will fall to death if you hit them the wrong way
A small piece of a narrative design draft for a game I've promised myself to make. I kind of miss that. I wonder now if investment is a good way to start a company and how in the world producers know how much everything costs😩
Just finished watching the #Vikings and now I am sad and overwhelmed
Now I want to make something that evokes this feeling
Damn these history shows, I both love and hate them
P. S. Ivar is one of my favorite characters now, I don't care, I love him, alright
@illusivemn1 Дааа
Боевая система подавала большие надежды, способности топ по сравнению с оригинальной трилогией, но для меня всё потонуло из-за кривых и скучных уровней
