Somaliland board of journalists needs to be created to license & certify journalists. They must have a journalism degree & must be a citizen of the nation. This would allow the ppl in SL to launch complaints towards journalists that promote hate speech & undermine our sovereignty

It is profoundly heartbreaking to witness another surge of xenophobic violence in #SouthAfrica this week. Hundreds have marched on Parliament, thousands of families have been displaced, and lives have been tragically cut short.
These include at least five Ethiopians killed earlier in the attacks, and five Mozambicans who died in Mossel Bay. Thousands more are now fleeing for their lives.
To see South Africa turn to xenophobia is a tragic betrayal of the country's struggle for independence and freedom. African nations stood united to dismantle apartheid. Ethiopia proudly supported "Madiba," Nelson Mandela, in 1962 and issued him a passport so he could travel the continent. Other countries helped in many ways, including with political and financial support.
Disagreements and grievances must be addressed by the justice system and the rule of law, never through vigilante violence and collective punishment.
South Africa deserves better. Africa deserves better.
Stop the hate. Protect the vulnerable. Uphold our shared humanity.

Today, a new chapter in history has been written. I extend my deepest gratitude and sincere appreciation to the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu @netanyahu the Government of Israel, and the people of Israel for becoming the first nation in thirty-five years to formally recognize the Republic of Somaliland as a sovereign and independent state, affirming its nationhood, independence, and inherent right to self-determination.
This courageous and historic decision stands as a testament to the resilience, political maturity, and unwavering aspirations of the people of Somaliland. For more than three decades, our nation has remained steadfast in its commitment to peace, democracy, stability, and the democratic expression of the will of its people. Somaliland will never forget this historic gesture of friendship, mutual respect, and principled recognition.
We firmly believe that Somaliland and Israel will build a deep and enduring partnership founded on mutual respect, security, innovation, development, and a shared commitment to advancing the prosperity and well-being of our peoples.
I am also pleased to announce that the Republic of Somaliland and the State of Israel have formally signed a Strategic Joint Declaration of Cooperation, marking a historic milestone in relations between our two nations. This landmark agreement establishes the foundation for a lasting strategic partnership and deepens cooperation in the fields of agriculture, water management, security, technology, investment, economic development, and infrastructure.
This achievement represents a defining moment in Somaliland’s national journey and a significant milestone for its people. It will leave an enduring mark on our history and usher in a new era of partnership, opportunity, and international engagement.
Somaliland has prevailed.
Bismillahi Rahmani Rahiim;
I have arrived in Israel as the first President of the Republic of Somaliland to undertake a State Visit, and I am honoured by the warm welcome extended by my friend, President @Isaac_Herzog
For thirty-five years, the people of Somaliland have built a peaceful, democratic, and resilient nation. We asked the world: Do you see us? Israel answered first. Today marks a historic milestone in our journey and the beginning of a new chapter in the relationship between Somaliland and Israel.
To the people of Somaliland: I carry your hopes and aspirations with me. Generations have struggled, sacrificed, and persevered to bring our nation to this moment. We will seize this opportunity with confidence, wisdom, and determination, always guided by the interests of our people and our Republic.
Today, history is being written, and Somaliland stands ready to forge a shared future founded on friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect.

Shouldn’t have trusted a Somalian
Look at the size of her forehead
They are genetically predisposed to scamming depending on how large their forehead is. The bigger the more scamming potential
While others are putting up barriers and closing doors, there are people like @1960Lander and @TheDanLevy.
@TheDanLevy went out and bought a Republic of Somaliland flag to welcome new friends, and @1960Lander held his own against Palestinian and extremist protesters on his 2026 UJA Walk with Israel
This is what the spirit of the Abraham Accords is all about.
Thank you, @1960Lander and @TheDanLevy, for leading the way.

🇸🇴 is becoming an international embarrassment. Corruption, poor governance & instability continue to damage the country’s reputation. For those who think these problems have no consequences, think again. National credibility matters & the world is watching. #Somalia#USA#FIFA
“What is destroying the name [reputation] of the country’s passports the most right now, before it even reaches our people, is our own government.
How did it happen that the employees’ passports and the diplomatic passports are being carried by just anyone — TikTokers and people who don’t even know or work for the government?
I’ve even seen girls being given them — they are my friends.
The world no longer trusts us. This is how we have let corruption enter everywhere.”
August 2025 Somalian referee
As Ive said before - if given a choice would a rational person choose Mogadishu or Hargeisa to live in? Events continue to prove that Somaliland is the real functioning state vs Somalia's chaos. US Govt will come to its senses eventually.

@thebhlub Well said 👏🏽… Our ppl need to think critically or keep silent. Geopolitics is a strange arena & ppl need to analyze statements by reading between the lines.
@AbdiAda71980302@thebhlub It will walal but it will take time. Everything will fall in place soon. The 🇺🇸 can’t completely make a brazen statement that will create division within the AU. Their response is measured & strategic. They’re setting the stage for a 2 state solution without explicitly saying it.
@AbdiAda71980302@thebhlub No one is afraid of Somalia. They don’t want to be responsible for a civil war breaking out in Somalia. So it’s better for them to be strategic & make it easier for the world to accept a 2 state solution without provoking war.
