Yesterday at Cartrack's head office in Rosebank, a woman named Gcina Dhladhla passed away after reportedly informing management last week that she was unwell. Instead of being supported, she was issued with a warning for being absent from work and was called into meetings regarding her attendance.
On Friday morning, Gcina went to work after being threatened with dismissal if she did not report for duty. At around 8:30am, she went to the bathroom. After being inside for an unusually long time, her team leader went to check on her. When there was no response, security was called to open the door.
Gcina was found unconscious on the bathroom floor. She had removed her clothing because she was feeling extremely hot. She remained on the floor for a prolonged period while assistance was being arranged. CPR was attempted by individuals who were not trained first aid responders, and it was only later realised that an ambulance had not yet been called.
Supervisors managed the situation, A manager went to Netcare in person to request an ambulance. By this stage, Gcina's body had become cold, her hands and feet had turned purple, and she had begun bleeding from the nose.
An ambulance only arrived after 11:00am, following intervention from her family, who instructed the company to call emergency services. When paramedics arrived, Gcina had already passed away. Employees from the Debtors Department were then instructed to vacate the building.
Gcina had previously complained about the way she was treated by team leaders. Her family, colleagues and the public deserve answers about the circumstances surrounding her death.
My sister stopped bringing her husband to family gatherings, but every time we asked why, she always had an excuse ready. “He’s busy.” “He’s tired.” “He had work.” At first, nobody thought too much about it because marriages go through phases. But after almost six months of him completely disappearing from family events, people started quietly wondering what was really happening behind closed doors.

Don't fall victim to fake news!
I've got so much respect for people who keep their bodies fit while balancing a career and family. You're a master of time management and get the job done despite being busy af. Being in shape is impressive but doing it while dealing with the totality of life is more impressive.
#KnowYourSIU| 1. The SIU does not target people nor do we investigate people. We investigate procurement processes in State Institutions and all levels of government departments, and it's through these processes that we find people who are responsible. In simple terms, we follow the money and the money leads us to people.
2. The law that governs the SIU states that the SIU does not identify its own investigations. We receive allegations, which we then assess to see if falls within our mandate, and we write a motivation for a proclamation to the President for authorisation.
We rely on whistleblowers or people reporting to our hotline, which is 0800 037 774.

A white South African man killed his wife with a gun. The court gave him 5 years in jail. A black man shot in the sky celebrating the anniversary of his party. The court gave him 5 years plus 2 years plus many fines in the same South African 🇿🇦 court.
Julius Malema didn’t kill or injure anyone. His bullet went straight into the air. But the court punished him more than the white man who killed his wife. This case is not about crime; it is Western-motivated and about silencing Julius Malema and the EFF.
On 14 April 2026, KwaZulu-Natal police, working with metro authorities and banking partners, raided a property in Umhlanga linked to an illegal call centre operation targeting bank customers through coordinated phone scams.

When my dad came back home after his 1st stroke, he once apologised for being a burden and that moment broke my heart because he wasn't, it was an honour to take care of him in his time of need. Had to reassure him of that. Id choose him as a father in every lifetime. ❤️
