3 big questions to ask about the proposed shift to United Healthcare :

1. Which hospitals will be out of network in this new plan? NYU? New York Presbyterian? MSK? Northwell?

- can we get a list now of providers and hospitals in this plan? Or will we be stuck when it’s finalized ?

- if my doctor or specialist is affiliated with one of these hospitals, how does that affect me financially and continuity of care? Will I have to pay $500 copay at any of these hospitals?

2. When can UFT members , city workers and retires see the actual contract itself?

- Why are union bosses only getting one day to review the actual contract in person?

3. Do we trust United Healthcare’s record while it’s under federal criminal and civil investigation for fraud, upcoding, and its abysmal record of pre-authorization denials?

- After the lies and debacle surrounding Medicare Advantage, how do trust Michael Mulgrew?
