Not sure how it’s going to shake out now, but he’s term-limited as Gov and in 2018-2019, I assumed he wanted the path clear for him to run for Senate in 2022. He won state-wide in 2018 when McSally lost to Sinema, so I’m sure he thinks he can win again.

She gets mad/disillusioned by federal-level stuff, but I convinced her to vote on the county sheriff, local education bonds, etc. We have to talk to people about how local-level votes matter.
Trump can still win. But on the other hand, if you're deriving a model from history, it implicitly presumes some baseline level of competence from a presidental campaign that may not be compatible with, say, getting into a public spat with Dr. Fauci 3 weeks out from the election.
