This year #worldpatientsafetyday2025 urged us to focus on safe care for every newborn and every child. It was a great honour to work with the @patsafetyuhdb to develop the agenda for our patient safety conference.
Massive thanks to all our presenters who took us on the journey from womb through the neonatal and paediatric pathways and ultimately transition to adult services.
A huge congratulations to @UHDBTrust on becoming the 40th and 41st units in the UK to go live with BadgerNet Neonatal #EPR!
This milestone in enhancing neonatal care through advanced electronic records! π¦‘
A huge thank you to all the teams involved in making this possibleπ
Today is #WorldPrematurityDay
Globally, 1 in 10 of all babies are born preterm - before 37 weeks of pregnancy - and complications relating to prematurity are now the leading cause of child death.
There is an urgent need to ensure quality care for all babies born early or small, alongside efforts to reduce risks of preterm birth https://t.co/61CqnS12xl
Our lovely work colleague tragically lost her husband 3 months ago.During his final moments in @nottmhospitals QMC site, his wedding band went missing which has such huge sentimental value & would be such a comfort to find it.We would so love to be able to reconnect her with it.
I never take enough pictures so just a couple from our neonatal day today. A huge thank you to the @NNAUK1 and Ruth and Rebecca for a fantastic day. So much to take back for our teams β€οΈ
Loved theπ³ of life activity and the appreciation of each other shown through the activity!
It's important to us that we recognise our staff. If you have an experience you wish to share with us here are some ways you can:
To nominate a team or staff member as your Patient Hero, visit: https://t.co/ow3TOGv28W where you can tell us why they should be recognised (1/2)
