Another night of storms in Tornado Ally. We're getting lucky again. We're only getting heavy rain and 60 mph winds. West of town they received close to 7 inches of rain in a couple of hours. South of town, golf ball sized hail. East of town, in Iowa tornado warnings. My newly emerged garden plants should be fine. Amazing how many near misses we get these days.

Fascinating DNA study that will change some of history's assumptions. A lot of great information about the transition between the Roman period and the Early Medieval. DNA, anthropology, and genealogy combine. Well worth reading.
