MASS TALK #5 - "What is Lost in Translation?" brings together Marta Campos, José Carlos Lino and Tânia Marques for a conversation on the changing nature of architectural practice and the questions that emerge when design becomes data.
We believe that building for the future starts with structural intelligence. Our proposal for the new Mathematics and Physics Centre in Geneva uses a hybrid system — timber, concrete, and steel — to enable flexible spaces and long-term efficiency. Check the project on our website
🎉 We’re proud to share that Soutenable Légèreté, our proposal for the new Centre des Sciences Physiques et Mathématiques at Université de Genève, was awarded 3rd prize in the international competition — a low-carbon hybrid tower for research, learning, and exchange.
MASSLAB will be a speaker at Culture & Tourism Innovation Global Summit! 🌎 Talking about "Smart Hotels", we will explore how architecture can create a different user experience.

Invited to join the OLI Talks under the theme “Challenges 2030 in Construction”, MASSLAB presented the winning proposal for our most recent hospitality project in Estremoz, currently under development with OVERSEAS.
The LINE project (3rd prize-winning pre-fab concrete housing block) was showcased at Concreta Fair 2024 as part of an exhibition by the Ordem dos Arquitetos. Why modularity & pre-fab?
✔️ Efficiency: Faster construction
✔️ Resources: Less waste
✔️ Flexibility: Adaptable designs
🌍 How can Adaptive Reuse redefine cities and foster resilient communities?
At the SHIFT seminar, we presented A Roof for Helsinki under the Urban Metabolism theme, exploring how cities can act as sustainable ecosystems.
At MASSLAB, 3D printing transforms how we design & iterate projects. It enhances client collaboration, speeds up processes, & turns complex ideas into precise models — freeing more time for creativity. #Prusa#3Dprinting#models#architecturemodels#MASSLAB
MASSLAB will be a speaker at SHIFT - The Future of Adaptive Architecture, an International Seminar on Architecture and Sustainability. Curated by Park Associati and under the theme "Urban Metabolism", join us, and let’s rethink our role in creating livable cities 🌍

Can we merge architecture, art, and music?
MASSLAND is an imaginary island that brings together diverse projects. These cities form a unified map full spectrum of spatial possibilities. Driven by the constant challenge to discover them, we are designing for a hopeful future.
We were challenged to create a new landmark on an 82,000 m² plot. Since building in height wasn’t an option, the project aims to redefine Maia’s skyline from the sky level. By rethinking the 5th facade, a new circular neighbourhood aims to create a landmark seen from the clouds.
When architecture meets technology, boundaries are pushed and new possibilities bloom. Dare to dream bigger, inspire, and design for a hopeful future.

@holz_bau Hello Mike! Thank you for the comparison. It's really crazy how the law can change so much between countries (in this case between Portugal and US).
MASSLAB's Plot V addresses the housing crisis by promoting social cohesion with a multifamily building for accessible rental housing. It aims to provide affordable options for families struggling to find homes. The project focuses on cost-efficient and eco-friendly design.
