@realcavsfans@cavstribefan23 While he would come with his own limitations, Bron is a better and more versatile fit.
You then need a Marcus Smart type at PG because a Don-Harden-Bron lineup would be disastrous on defense.
I certainly have enjoyed having this team but honestly I feel like it's the brand of basketball in general that turns people off.
Having your franchise players DNA be hero ball with very little impact in any other area and constantly feeling like that style of ball is holding back the other talented players on the team is hard for people to buy into.
I don't know that I want to experiment in a game 7.
Realistically I think in a do or die game you're not leaning much on the second unit.
For all the minutes where Barrett and Barnes are out there together, I want the 3 bigs together to shut their water off and allow the guards to just stay home.
@channingfrye people acting like you are saying he's an inferior player.
Donovan had 26 shots to 2 assists on a night where he didn't have it going and Evan did, while Evan was being guarded by a 6'7 dude for the entire 4th and OT.
It's about understanding how to play balanced high IQ basketball, and not just looking to single handedly out score everyone.
You are definitely right here.
Schroder says he told the team he wants to see 'Cavs basketball' again and to return to the style they played when he first arrived in Cleveland
"Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen are the keys to our team... those are two of the top bigs in the league, so we got to use them"
@channingfrye He ended up having a great game AFTER Kenny clearly told them to get the bigs the ball. Frusterating part is it's always something we have to remind Spida, not the default. You don't win a championship unless that becomes your DNA.
@channingfrye I saw him flash calling for it multiple times just to get waved off. He gets discouraged then accepts a role.
Would love for him to demand it, but would also love for veteran guards to help him realize his potential instead of looking to play hero ball.
TCU's Sonny Dykes on facing ASU WR Jordyn Tyson this season after seeing Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan in 2024.
"I think Tyson is probably just overall a better player."
@JakobSanderson To put it differently - imagine if you had Dionate Johnson's twitch and route running on a 6'2 dude who can jump out of the gym? You would probably want that guy 😂
I think they have alot of similarities in terms of route running but Diontae lacked what Tyson has (size and above average athleticism) which is what will seperate Tyson and kept Diontae from ever being elite.
That's why these kind of comps are dangerous IMO.
Diontae was super solid but playing with the cards stacked against him. He was short, light, not very fast, and couldn't jump.
It's not that he's bad. There are just levels to it and these 50 YPG merchants like Cooper and KC are very overly hyped by guys on this app. They are both probably future WR3s with WR2 upside.
It's what happens in a meh draft. People have to glaze average prospects because it's all that is there. In a good draft they are early to mid 2nd round guys.
@___Colb___ Guy had 3 games over the last 2 years where he topped 85 yards. He might end up being a solid WR3 but people need to temper their expectations in a pretty meh draft.
