I'm so blessed & thankful for being a husband for 39 years to the nicest person I've ever met; father of 2 grown children; granddaddy to 4 adorable kids.
Let's not lose our grip on the facts - instead of recriminations and accusations - just the facts.
1) Congressman @RoKhanna was offered to coordinate his visit with the State of Israel - this goes beyond notifying of his presence in the country. He was offered in-depth coordination of his schedule to avoid misunderstandings, and he chose to ignore that offer.
He also chose not to coordinate his visit with the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem.
2) He chose to conduct his visit accompanied by Palestinian activists, and, for some reason, @nytimes journalists with cameras at the ready. With him was also a person affiliated with @jstreet, an organization that actively lobbies against the government of Israel on Capitol Hill.
3) Mr. Khanna and his entourage entered what was believed to be a closed military zone without permission. The military had no prior knowledge of him going there, due to his refusal to coordinate with them. The vehicle they stopped was unknown to them and therefore provoked suspicion. The moment details of the Congressman's identity were cleared, he was free to go. At no point was the congressman, or any member of his party, threatened by the soldiers, or civilians bearing arms.
4) To add insult to injury - the Congressman used this instance as an opportunity to tout "genocide" and "apartheid" libels to the press, propelling himself to the center of yet another anti-Israel media frenzy.
The facts don't lie - this was a cheap, anticipated provocation, that could, and should have been avoided.
5) Calling me a liar won’t change the facts. I’d be happy to host Congressman Khanna at our embassy for an in-depth conversation on his grievances regarding Israel.
The California Post (and New York Post) is out with my column on Ro Khanna confirming that the Billionaire Tax is really not intended as a Billionaire Tax and should be used to target the wealth of citizens in lower bands of wealth. https://t.co/86LU0nFnWY
Here is the video that “Ro” claims was detention by the IDF per @BillMelugin_ . Note that @RoKhanna’s party lied to officials about having US Embassy support for their trip into the controlled zone. Note there was also no detention.
Imagine a high-ranking European Union bureaucrat attempted to cross the U.S./Mexican border from Mexico illegally, with a camera crew, and was temporarily detained in the process. His purpose was solely to make the U.S. look bad on the world stage by inventing a conflict that he was narcissistically at the center of, highlighting a make-believe injustice of the U.S. exercising sovereignty over it borders.
You don't have to imagine it. @RoKhanna just did it.
It's interesting that the three things that used to define being a teenager, getting your license, drinking, and getting laid, all started falling at the same time.
That wasn't a coincidence. It isn't three trends. It's one.
For most of American history, being seventeen meant leaving the house. The point was to get out. Into a car, into a parking lot, into someone's parents house while they were gone. Teenage life ran on boredom and proximity. You did reckless things because the alternative was sitting at home, and sitting at home was unbearable.
Then around 2012, sitting at home stopped being unbearable.
The smartphone didn't make teenagers responsible. It gave them somewhere else to be. The boredom that used to push them outside, toward cars and parties and each other, finally had a cheaper outlet. Every behavior that required leaving the house bent downward at once.
We keep calling this a healthier generation. Less pregnancy, less DUI, fewer of the disasters that used to end a young life early. In the narrow sense, it is.
But we didn't get wiser.
We became antisocial.
Because of a phone.

The CEO of StubHub exposed in SEC documents to own a hedge fund thats scalping millions of tickets on StubHub making a fortune
Everything is a scam
“StubHub bills itself as an online marketplace for fans where they can buy and sell tickets, but it turns out that StubHub CEO himself also has a hedge fund that is scalping millions of dollars worth of its own tickets”
“The company went public on the New York Stock Exchange last fall. They had to file documents to the Securities and Exchange Commission, and in those SEC filings, we find some interesting information. The CEO, Eric Baker, actually owns and manages a hedge fund by the name of Andro Capital.
Its business: selling millions of dollars worth of tickets on StubHub — So essentially, StubHub and its CEO are in the business of mass scalping”
Here’s a step by step of how the scam works
- StubHub CEO’s Andro Capital buys large numbers of tickets, sometimes in bulk from primary sellers, other brokers and events
- They then list and sell those same tickets on StubHub at much higher prices
- When fans buy the tickets, Andro makes a profit on the price difference, this is the scalping markup
- StubHub helps them by handling the listing, pricing and delivery of the tickets, sometimes with special arrangements or lower fees for Andro
The result is millions of dollars in ticket sales flow through Andro on StubHub, and the profits go back to the hedge fund that StubHub CEO Baker owns and manages
It means with his big money and influence he can move in early, gets the tickets for events, then mark them and rob everyone blind
On July 2, I secretly recorded a training held by the Party for Socialism and Liberation where they discussed abolishing the constitution, overthrowing the government, and replacing it with a socialist society.

American Preacher uses common sense to explain how far off track America has become
“If you can get arrested for hunting and fishing without a license, but you can enter this country and remain in this country illegally, you got a country run by idiots
If you have to get your parents' permission to go on a field trip and get an aspirin at school, but you don't have to get their permission to get an abortion, you got a country run by idiots
If you must show identification to board an airplane and cash a check and check out a library book, But you don't have to show identification to vote in our elections. You got a nation run by a bunch of idiots
If the government wants to prevent and they want to take our guns away and turn around and send F-16 fighter jets to our enemy countries, take our guns away and give ammunition to our enemy countries, you have a country run by idiots.
— If your government believes the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars in debt is to spend more trillions of dollars in debt, you got a country run by idiots.”
Academia concentrates intellectuals because it’s a low accountability bubble where bad ideas like socialism thrive.
According to Thomas Sowell, intellectuals produce ideas judged only by peers.
An engineer’s collapsed building ruins him and a businessman’s flop means bankruptcy.
But if an intellectual’s grand social scheme fails disastrously, he pays no price for being wrong, thanks to tenure and echo chambers.
And according to Ludwig von Mises, capitalism rewards those who serve consumers.
Many intellectuals resent this.
Their ambitions are frustrated, so they retreat to academia/government to denounce the “system” that didn’t crown them, subsidized by the markets they hate.
They excel at abstractions and peer validation, not reality tests.
And the result is a self-selecting club where sounding smart to colleagues takes precedence over delivering results that work for real people.
Because the real world is harsher, and a lot more honest.
When I left CA almost a year ago due to threats to my safety (after exposing CHIRLA, VC Defensa, 805 Undocufund's role in anti-ICE violence), some questioned the need for me to leave the state.
At the time, I told people, "Gavin Newsom's court system will not protect me if I need to defend myself, AND, they might actively seek to imprison me for some BS 'crime.'"
Some friends and family scoffed at that. This video (in addition to the "Stop Nick Shirley Act") shows my concerns were well-founded.

Elon Musk just said the one thing about America they made sure you’d never learn.
The one thing that should’ve made you proud, not ashamed.
Musk: “After World War 2, the US could have basically taken over the world and any country. Like we got nukes, nobody else got nukes. We don’t even have to lose soldiers. Which country do you want?”
One nation held a weapon no civilization had ever possessed.
Total monopoly on destruction. No rival. No consequence. No limit.
Every empire in history that held that kind of power did the only thing empires know how to do.
They took until there was nothing left to take.
America had a greater advantage than all of them combined.
And rebuilt the nations it just defeated.
Musk: “The United States actually helped rebuild countries. So it helped rebuild Europe, it helped rebuild Japan. This is very unusual behavior, almost unprecedented.”
Not almost unprecedented.
It had never happened. Not once in 5,000 years of recorded civilization.
The nation with the power to take everything chose to rebuild instead.
Enemies became allies. Rubble became economies. Surrender became partnership.
Germany went from ashes to the economic engine of Europe in a single generation.
Japan went from unconditional surrender to the third largest economy on earth.
Three years after the war, America was flying food into Berlin.
Into the capital of the country that just tried to end the free world.
That decision reshaped every economy, every alliance, and every trade route on the planet.
Billions of people lifted out of poverty over the next half century trace back to one moment. One nation choosing restraint over domination.
No other country in history can make that claim. Not one.
Musk: “There’s always like, well America’s done bad things. Well of course America’s done bad things, but one needs to look at the whole track record.”
Every nation on earth has blood in its history.
But the measure of a nation was never its worst chapter.
It’s what it does when nobody can stop it.
When nobody could stop America, it fed its enemies and rebuilt their cities.
You’re being told every day that this country is something to be ashamed of.
By people who have no idea what the world looks like without it.
Every free market. Every open border for trade. Every democracy that took root outside Europe stands in the shadow of that single decision.
The values that built this country didn’t just shape America.
They shaped the modern world.
AI is about to hand a small number of people a power advantage that makes nuclear monopoly look primitive.
1945 was the first test.
AI is the last.
That power is going to exist. The only question left is who holds it.
The most powerful thing America ever did wasn’t building the bomb.
It was having the power to take everything and choosing not to.
The people trying hardest to tear that story down have never built a single thing worth defending.
