@RandySevy Just read Acts 5 today where Ananias and Sapphira were killed because of hypocrisy. My thought was I’m really glad God doesn’t do that to all Christians. There would be none of us around. I’m glad he forgives.
@BryanDavisAuth This is interesting to me. I too am at least exploring “original sin”. But you would agree that all sentient people eventually sin, correct? Babies don’t, certainly unborn babies don’t.
Do not join the LDS church. Do not read the Book of Mormon. It’s not true
Do read the Bible. Start with the gospels. Read all 4 of the gospels. Do find a local Bible teaching church. If you are serious I would be glad to go into more detail but it looks like you are overwhelmed with advice.
I downloaded the entire podcast transcript to make sure I had the context. Mostly it was Josh McPherson making the radical statements about how he shouldnt be accountable because he is the one who hears from God, not the elders or the people. He also said the he did not want lawyers, doctors, or engineers because they are too risk averse and tend to ask questions. Howerton did not push back on these statements.
@MBLinton I think it’s the way you need to operate if you are running a mega church. You need a ceo and a board who supports the ceo. The congregation is your customer base
@Minniecat16@luinalaska Yes, these days it’s is often a mixture of berries, whipping cream, and some crisco.
My daughter makes a version that includes whipped white fish, whipped cream, berries, some crisco. I grew up eating it. Called Nothglod in the Holikachuk language.
Look at the evidence. The crux of the matter is the resurrection. Did it happen or didn’t it. If you don’t look at the evidence and just “want” to believe it gets you no where. The main evidence that he didn’t boils down to “that kind of thing just doesn’t happen”. That means to don’t believe in the supernatural. For that you need to go into meta physics. Peter on that
@Torncurtainorg How did they do it in Acts 2 when there were only 120 believers in the room and 3000 got baptized that day. Then they started discipling. It can be done
@Bernadette4Gov No one should drop out. The more you and Bronson campaign against each other the more you help the other side. Campaigns as a republican. Not against another republican.
