@BeanJuiceStudio We don’t. I work on my game about an hour during my lunch break and then for 1-2 hours in the evening (not every day though) after the kids fell asleep 🤷🏻♂️🔥

@gdechichi@BeanJuiceStudio Same, full engine control means full rendering pipeline control. It's also going to be lighter weight than a commercial engine.
Just improved the outlines on my 3D models and finally finished the entire render pipeline! The game is starting to feel much more solid and stylized. Next posts will be all about the new areas I’m working on.
@BeanJuiceStudio The general 'Don't make an MMO' advice. Also, the 'don't make a big game, start with a small game first'. I didn't listen but I think about those two lines of thinking often.
my friend started working on the most important feature, g̵a̵m̵e̵pl̵ RAIN!!! Also, I updated the scientist character, about time lol.

11 months since the demo
10 months since the release
Making a good game takes time. For our first game, we want it to be worth your time ♡
Throwback from when I built a water rendering feature that made the ocean sparkle all the way to the horizon, that perfect shimmering path under the sun.
Still one of my favorite “it finally works” moments in graphics. Proud of that shader magic!
A lot more pixel art games would benefit from a world space texture approach for their terrain imo, instead of the classic tileset. This is pretty much a perfect example for it. Looks great, organic/natural and looks really fun to use
Bugfixing the new features and the old, and on multiple occasions i find something i made a good while back and go "what the heck was i thinking, this is terribly made" - i guess its a sign that I'm improving, but damn, sometimes I'm amazed this game is functional xD
