We fought hard to get this external review of CMPD & the initial report back is in for both that request & the report back on crisis response on Beatties Ford Corridor. Now we will need your help looking at & analyzing the data. We will post both reports ASAP.

After Mayor Vi Lyles said she doesn't have the power to mandate masks, the city of Charlotte confirmed she can mandate masks but would have to declare a state of emergency first. She can do this on her own and doesn't need #CLTCC authorization @wsoctv
I recently toured the Southeastern Carpenters Regional Council's brand new state-of-the art facility. They have a 4 year training program which they pay people to attend, with free family health insurance, and starting salaries of $50k. @MeckCounty
This is why we asked how much it would $ to add community programs we wanted added like non Police Crisis Response, violence prevention, & $1 mil in funding 4 community groups & left police budget alone. CLT had the $. We followed that with getting a review of @CMPD budget.

Video: After weeks of trying to get @CharMeckSchools to answer Q’s for our story about female students at Myers Park HS reporting being raped & sexually assaulted, we asked Q’s of @CMSSupt & @elysedashew. They wouldn’t talk #ncpol https://t.co/hdjGcGYAbv
