Our review entitled “Novel Imaging Modalities in the Evaluation of Patients with Pituitary Adenomas” has been published in Endocrinology and Metabolism Clinics of North America! (https://t.co/DIDUnu0Q8F)
In this review we discuss recent advances in pituitary imaging. @MGEndoGroup

@MariaFleseriu@hani_marcus@ukneurosurgeon The main caveat is that PET requires a lot more than just "doing the scan". We spend a lot of time with @MGEndoGroup and our nuclear radiologists looking at each case, especially the tricky ones. @MGEndoGroup and @Dan_J_Gillett have also done a lot of work on optimising PET.
Great session earlier this morning with our @CUH_NHS#neurosurgery trainees practising endoscopic endonasal approaches to the #pituitary fossa with the use of the @upsurgeon TNS model. Excellent skills by all trainees!

Very pleased that our latest manuscript is now available online! https://t.co/c9C6t1M5PO We optimised PET image reconstruction using a 3D-Printed phantom including a radioactive pituitary tumour and surrounding anatomy. @CUH_NHS@Cambridge_Uni@MGEndoGroup@Prusa3D
#MeetTheTeam Kevin Huynh is a visiting 4th-year medical student from Leiden University with a particular interest in pituitary disease. He has worked on several projects regarding endocrine imaging, and pituitary tumours. He also runs this Twitter account on behalf of the team.
We are delighted to announce that the next President Elect of ESE is Wiebke Arlt @WiebkeArlt . She will be working with our next President @JeromeBertherat over the next 2 years before becoming President in May 2025. #EUWIN#OurEndocrineCommunity
#MeetTheTeam Daniel Gillett is a Senior Clinical Scientist at the Department of Nuclear Medicine. His work in endocrine functional imaging has focused on the optimisation of image acquisition and post-acquisition image processing for improved image quality and interpretability.
#MeetTheTeam Dr Waiel Bashari is an Honorary Consultant Endocrinologist. His work includes research on the optimisation of molecular imaging using 11C-methionine PET for detecting pituitary adenomas. He also has experience in functional/molecular imaging of the adrenal glands.
