Im so tired of not being able to give my patients the right meds. Im tired of telling them they have to try meds that have tons of side effects and an association with dementia because insurance companies won’t cover them while every man’s ED is getting covered without question.
Two things I'd like to say this #ThxBirthControl Day:
1. Reproductive freedom is a human right.
2. The decision to use birth control should stay between a person and their health care provider.
Period.
This right here is crucial! Many of my patients need a prior authorization for overactive bladder meds that aren’t associated with cognitive impairment, and it simply isn’t okay!
@mariashriver@dr_mosconi a profoundly overlooked reason for inequitable cognitive decline in women in menopause is the widespread use of anticholinergic meds for overactive bladder, despite @urogynsociety recommendations to use B-agonists instead. Women can’t afford them.

I’m not one to make sweeping generalizations, but I firmly believe that every woman could benefit from working with a pelvic floor physical therapist at least once in her life. #pelvicfloorpt#urogynecology#pelvicfloordysfunction
Is there an impact of post procedure UTI on the efficacy of botox? A secondary analysis of the ROSETTA trial: https://t.co/P8m0dTo1Po @MGuirguisMD@DrLaurenG
Something I’m learning as I progress in medicine: get yourself multiple mentors. No one person is going to be able to help you 100%. And chances are what one person doesn’t understand about your journey, another person will.
So excited to share my latest publication with you, a secondary analysis of #Rosetta where we found no significant difference in treatment response to #Botox in the presence of a post-injection UTI

Hot off the press! 🔥 @MGuirguisMD shows that an early UTI after intravesical botox was not associated with worse treatment outcomes in a secondary analysis of the #ROSETTA trial 👏🏻 @MageeUroGyn @MageeWomens @bradleyms https://t.co/AQ32PlDdZE
Hey @boardobgyn - forcing OB/Gyns to go to Texas for oral boards is just wrong.
#1, our certification should not depend on financially supporting a state that refuses to recognize our expertise.
Amazing time at FPMRS Course hosted by @ClevelandClinic with the best @MageeUroGyn co-fellows! Thanks to @jfitzgeraldMD, @DrLaurenG, and all the other attendings who spent the day imparting their wisdom and knowledge to us!
Get the blood banks prepared for massive transfusion
Stock broad spectrum antibiotics
ICUs prepare for sepsis

Gyn will be calling you.
It has become my personal mission to get as many people in my division to use the 8-mm port, and now I have the data to back me up 🙌🏼 #researchmatters#womensresearchmatters
After laparoscopic #prolapse#surgery, the 10-12mm port seemed to be the major source of post-op pain.
We advocated for an equip change to 8mm ports at our center, which led to ⬇️ opioid requirements.
