Israeli Opposition Leader Rejects Recognition of Somaliland

The leader of Israel’s opposition has spoken out against the recognition of Somaliland, warning that such a move would create serious political and diplomatic complications for Israel. He stated that recognizing Somaliland would draw the country into unnecessary regional tensions and could have far-reaching consequences for Israel’s foreign relations.

The opposition leader is widely viewed as the politician expected to succeed Benjamin Netanyahu in the future.

IGAD Member States Review Commitments of the Global Compact of Migration (GCM).

#IGAD Member States convened in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for a two-day technical regional review workshop on implementing commitments under the Global Compact on Migration.

The Regional Review workshop provided a platform where Participants from IGAD Member States including government representatives from the National Coordination Mechanisms (NCM) on migration or similar structures, the Ministry of Interior, Labor, National Statistic Agencies, Foreign Affairs, IOM, and @giz_gmbh discussed progress, shared best practices, and discussed strategies on how to cascade the Continental Plan of Action on Global Compact for Migration (GCM) implementation in the IGAD region.

Under the GCM, Member States achieved the following:

✅Pledged to facilitate orderly, safe, regular and responsible migration and mobility of people.
✅Engaged its member states to implement the 23 objectives of the GCM
✅Realisation of the IGAD Protocol on Free Movement of Persons and the IGAD Protocol on Transhumance that advance GCM implementation in the IGAD region.

After 32 years of theft the federal government of Somalia separately allocated for the first time in history Awdal as a separate region granting it 10 million dollars and Other Awdal Region
$5.0 M.

On receiving this news the response from the so called “Somaliland” was to also for the first time publish some token so called projects never actually intending to implement but only for public consumption. The lughaya port is fake the amount allocated to it confirms this, the roads for baki and borama and boon are also fake as the real road was cancelled by the secessionists even though it was to be funded by the African development bank. Awdal wants a genuine future and that is only possible as an equal member of the federal States within the Somali federal government. Somaliland exists at the expense of Awdal and serves the interest of a tribe. @MOFASomalia @AhmedMoFiqi

Rep @Ilhan is disliked by many Republicans and Democrats. Her name on a piece of legislation or proposal is enough to kill that bill or idea. The unfortunate calls for her to resign and be deported are not new. As evident by the non-stop bills to subvert @Somalia's sovereignty and end US assistance to Somalia, many in DC hold unfavorable views of Somalia. Unfortunately, Rep @Ilhan's Somalia comments and her surprising claim of being able to greatly influence US foreign policy have again cast Somalia in a bad light.

I remember in 2022 speaking to a Senator who was shocked when I told him I was lobbying on behalf of Somalia; all the Senator could remember about Somalia was Black Hawk Down. I took the time to discuss Somalia with the Senator, and while his skepticism still exists, this Senator has been instrumental in protecting US engagement with Somalia ever since that day. I recall this story because despite many in DC being skeptical about Somalia, many also hold great hope for Somalia.

The members of Congress and pundits making unfavorable comments about Somalia are not bad people. They simply have an unfavorable view of Somalia due to Somalia's troubles. I am already making the rounds and speaking to many of these individuals, and as with the Senator, my goal is to modify their opinion of Somalia. The United States and Somalia are allies, and everything must be done to protect and strengthen this friendship

FOA recognition to @AbiyAhmedAli has no basis and he never contributed good security of Ethiopian people instead he initiated challenges effected the living standard of many Ethiopians.

FANO represents the interests of Amhara, Ethiopians and of course the people of the HOA as its militarily against the regime of Abiy
