A life changing experience for all who were able to return, regardless of which side they fought for in this historic Rakkasan battle 50 years ago.

Last year, some HH survivors climbed Hill 937 50 years later. In an act of peace & reconciliation, they held hands atop the hill w/ local Vietnamese delegates. The healing journey was made possible by @MJB57, CDR of 3-187 at the time & w/ the support of @jtwarmy & @Erikhistorian.

The challenges experienced during the 3,187 stair climb brought the participants a little closer to the heroes that fought on Hamburger Hill 50 years ago. On May 15, they’ll walk 31.87 miles; the final mile being dedicated to the memory of those that fought on Hill 937.

The Torii is standing tall and so are our Iron Rakkasans as we culminate an excellent training event at Camp Grayling. Iron received high praise from 32 IBCT CDR, COL Oakley as well as the Michigan TAG, MG Vadnais, for professionalism, discipline, and a job well done. #Rakkasans
