Today we celebrate a decade of community, discovery, and exploration in #PokemonGO. 🏞️🤩
We’re excited to share this year’s anniversary artwork from Yusuke Kozaki @kymg, the talented character designer for Pokémon GO.

@DeicideOP I got it wrong. 😅
I wondered if Issue 33 would have a break.
According to the preview pages of Issue 33, and also Manga Plus, Chapter 1188’ll be there.
If you want to know whether or not OP gets the cover and color spread, the preview pages are here.

@DeicideOP I wonder if this is how the schedule is going…
Issue 29- Chapter 1185 (latest chapter)
Issue 30- Oda break (already confirmed)
Issue 31- Chapter 1186
Issue 32- Chapter 1187
Issue 33- Oda break
Issue 34- Chapter 1188 (29th anniversary Jump cover and color spread)
Happy 250th birthday, America! We got you a present. 🇺🇸
The red, white, and blue stars of this globular cluster shine like a sparkler waved on a dark night in this image from @NASAHubble, released in celebration of the United States' 250th anniversary.
@AlBuCe1@newworldartur This is one of those sets that contains more chapters than the regular volumes.
There are 22 chapters in this volume (rather than 8 in the regular Volume 1).
Unrealistic (since Pokémon is from Japan, a different country), but imagine if they made a gold Ho-Oh coin to celebrate. 😅
It’s Pokémon number 0250.

@Truthordeal As big of an accomplishment as this is for #anipoke, I remain frustrated that TPCi has shown no sign of doing this with the various TV series.
It makes me feel even stronger about the tweet below.
I think not only should TPCi release the show in JPN with ENG subs, they should partner with, and base their subs off of those of, that fansubbing group that’s subbed the show over the past several years.
Or, just make a statement saying fansubs for Pokémon are fine. #anipoke
@theviolenttomb1@CypherVGC@VIZMedia Yeah, Japan has 64 regular volumes. The latest regular volume in the United States is the VIZ version of Volume 63.
I’m sure VIZ has been waiting for JPN Volume 65 to come out so they can take the ORAS portion out and add it to VIZ Volume 64.
@TaruneToon@VIZMedia I don’t think they’re ever switching the names back. 😕
I think Gen 3 (with the FireRed and LeafGreen release) and Gen 4 would’ve been the best time to change things back, but instead, various forms of Pokémon media kept the name changes.
@ceruleanist In all fairness, there’s no official legal method to watch the Japanese version with English subtitles for the TV series.
(That doesn’t stop everyone, but still…)
@NBAYoungDude345@PokemanZ0N6 I thought the same thing.
I’m not complaining though, and now I’m wondering where I’d heard of that. Did I see that from a fan, or did I make the assumption on my own? 🤷🏿♂️
@DeicideOP It’s hard for me to tell which Oda breaks are because of the live-action show and which ones are unrelated, but I did see that video of him visiting for Season 3.

@CTheng8@ryoukazehara@CattDoodle We may never get an actual Absol movie, but at least it was featured in this Japanese teaser poster for that Jirachi movie.
(Jirachi surely wasn’t revealed to be in that movie yet.)

@Lordxzaileir@Goosaphone I’m surprised TPCi didn’t have a limited theatrical rerelease of the English dub of Mewtwo Strikes Back, back in late 2024.
That was the 25th anniversary of the English dub of that movie.
Maybe they’ll do something like that in 2029 for the 30th anniversary? 🤷🏿♂️
