आधीच दुष्काळाने हैराण झालोय, पाण्यासाठी लोकांची वणवण सुरू आहे. अशा परिस्थितीत निसर्गाचं रक्षण करण्याऐवजी जंगलतोड होत असेल, तर आपण नेमकं चाललोय कुठे?

Development at What Cost?

75% of Maharashtra has been declared as drought-affectedYet, 32,490 trees are set to be cleared for the Torrent Power project at Karjat-just days before its inauguration on 3rd November.

Development is important. But it shouldn't come at the cost of forests, especially during a water crisis.

MH govt without consulting with us, citizens, cutting pristine forest over 600 ha that is 1500 acres which is 2-4 villages in Bhimashankar forest which is reserved area n vicinity to Pune.

Destroying western ghats is nothing but murder of its citizens by state govt led by bjp.

People in n around Pune need to come on streets against this brutality.

I live in England these days. Here, all public buildings undergo safety check & risk assessments periodically. Even all electrical equipments are safety checked, from laptop chargers to plugs. Safety drills are regular. Safety trainings for all are mandatory

When students died by drowning in the illegal library in 2024, it was a call that buildings needed to be risk assessed.

Why did risk assessment of buildings not happen in India?

Why are safety laws not implemented and are easily bargained?
