The department's circular directing the completion of verification of claims under the Forest Rights Act, including in urban areas, is a significant step toward safeguarding the rights of forest-dwelling Scheduled Tribes and other traditional forest dwellers.
Equally important is the reiteration of the legal safeguard that no eligible forest dweller can be evicted until the process of recognition and verification of claims is completed.

The execution of this project will provide a reliable irrigation network, ensuring adequate water supply to agricultural lands and significantly improving farming conditions in the area.
