The National Convention on The State of Policing in Uganda 24/01/2024 organized by @JusticessP supported by @OpenSocietyAfr attended by State & Non-state actors. Recommendations were made to reform UPF.
Justice Access Point (JAP) on 23 January 2024 launched a national status report on policing in Uganda. The report revealed that the public did not percieve UPF as fulfilling its mandat in a responsive, accountable, professional and right-centred manner.
JAP hosted on 24 January 2024 a national convention on policing in Uganda. It was attended by CSOs, UHRC , Uganda Police Force , and academia. Recommendations for reform of the UPF were made.
