A volvulus occurs when a segment of the intestine and its supporting mesentery twist, leading to a blockage in the bowel. Symptoms encompass abdominal pain, bloating, vomiting, constipation, and bloody stool. In adults, the sigmoid colon is typically the most affected, followed by the cecum.🎈
