The response to this is the same dichotomy you see with most topics these days.
People who have never been, have zero idea or context, relying on information fed to them from online.
The annual NHC dramas return!
Notting Hill carnival is honestly the best event London, maybe England has to offer- it’s the only place you’ll see nearly every race culture and class unified in enjoyment!! If you know the right spots, it’s an absolute blast of a time.
Great vibes, great food, great music!
Been saying for a while that NATO want war with Russia, and the UK has been tasked with the job of being the stick that poked the bear into an attack, that NATO could then use as the excuse to declare war.
Becoming more and more obvious by the day.
@ZubyMusic Yes, that’s why there’s the option to plead insanity and be held in a high security hospital to receive appropriate treatment. I don’t think anyone’s advocating for Lindsay to walk off into to the sunset.
@RightToLifeUK This is exactly how we got here with gender dysphoria and abortion. Relying on (supposedly two) doctors to actually have a conversation & get to the crux of the problem instead of just signing things off because it’s easier.
I’m happy to explain it:
Autogynephilia is a fetish in which a man becomes sexually aroused at the idea of himself as a woman. The outbreak of “trans identities” amongst fully grown adult males over the past decade or so can, for the vast majority, be connected to the condition of autogynephilia, while they claim to have a “gender identity” of “woman”.
Gender identity has been put into law in many jurisdictions, and in many instances gender identity is overriding sex - which is the immutable characteristic connected to sex based rights. Sex based rights are what women & girls rely on for many spaces, services & sport.
With gender identity in law, it means that an autogynephilic man can use the law to have *more* rights than an actual woman: a man who is aroused at the idea of himself as a woman can use the law to go into a woman’s change room & her objection to that is irrelevant. A sexual fetish has more rights than a woman or girl.
Again, in the vast majority of instances, women’s mere objections to autogynephilic men - that they are actual women or that they should be legally permitted in female spaces - is framed as hatred or bullying. The simple word of “no” is used against women, in favor of the men who are aroused by the idea that they are women.
Many women’s lives, and livelihoods, have been or have attempted to be destroyed for simply saying “no” to men who are aroused by the idea they are women.
This level of gaslighting is bound to make even the most level headed woman, at the very least, angry. Women are allowed to be angry.
Let me get this straight, the UK are preparing to conscript UK nationals to fight a war against Russia in a country where they're introducing a bill for two-years imprisonment for flying the flag in certain parts of the country!? 🐸
My position is that gender dysphoria is a real, painful condition and that for some adults, the only way they may feel able to resolve that inner conflict is transition. If that’s the road they choose I wish them long life and happiness and I would vigorously oppose any discrimination against them when it comes to employment, housing or voting rights.
I do not believe children have the capacity to consent to treatments that may leave them infertile and, in some cases, anorgasmic. Multiple studies have shown that gender dysphoria in childhood and adolescence is not uncommon, for gay kids particularly, but it also occurs in, for example, straight girls who hate the idea of becoming women and sometimes, tragically, in children who’ve been abused. The available evidence shows that in the majority of cases, gender dysphoria resolves after the person has gone through adolescence. I am strongly opposed to the experimental treatment of blocking puberty in dysphoric children. I believe trans activists have behaved hugely unethically and irresponsibly in pretending that there is good evidence that these treatments are beneficial (there isn’t), that puberty blockers are completely reversible (there is a mounting body of evidence to suggest they aren’t) or that children are likely to kill themselves if denied blockers (there is no evidence to support this and suicide prevention charities warn against making such statements, due to the very real danger of suicide contagion.)
Of course, not all trans-identified people are dysphoric. Erotic transvestism, also known as autogynephilia, (getting a sexual thrill out of dressing as/pretending to be a woman) has been around for a very long time. I believe lesbians are entitled to exclude straight, cross-dressing men from their dating pools without being accused of bigotry and worse (same goes for gay men with trans-identified women). It’s profoundly homophobic to attack gay people for being same-sex attracted.
I don’t believe anyone, adult or child, is ‘born in the wrong body.’ That is an unfalsifiable, quasi-religious belief. A person may *feel* as if they’re in the wrong body, but humans cannot literally change sex. However they identify, men don’t belong in the single-sex spaces for which women fought so hard.
@Vheeki_tori I’d never listen to the opinion of a dad who doesn’t contribute 50/50. Kim is far from perfect but at least she’s there. You only ever see Ye with 1 or 2 of his kids at once, and for a while you’d only see him with North as HE was the one pushing her music career.
