We posted about this a couple years ago, but we have recently been receiving phone calls again from citizens who have been contacted by someone impersonating an officer from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. 1/3
While it may be possible for a citizen to be contacted via telephone by a legitimate ICAC investigator, these investigators would NEVER request any form of payment or compensation for alleged illegal acts. 2/3
