#BREAKING : Saudi Arabia Executes Two Bangladeshi Nationals Over ‘Having Sex’ Inside Mecca Mosque

Saudi Arabia has announced the execution of two Bangladeshi nationals convicted of committing what authorities described as a “sexual act” inside a mosque in the holy city of Mecca.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Saudi Ministry of Interior identified the individuals as Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siti Akhtar.

According to the ministry, security authorities arrested the two following the incident. They were subsequently charged after an investigation and later executed, the statement said.

- Pakistan has the highest interest rates in the region
- Pakistan has the highest number of out of school children in the region
- Pakistan has the highest number of stunted children in the region
- Pakistan has the worst ranking in human development index in the region
- Pakistan is number one on the World terrorism index.
- Pakistan has the worst investment ratio in the region
- Pakistan’s exports are the lowest compared to India & Bangladesh

I can go on and the list is long.
But where are we heading.
Another year and imagine the fate of common Pakistanis.

Pakistan's federal government has formally imposed emergency measures and governor's rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ending the provincial administration led by former Prime Minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.

President Asif Ali Zardari approved the decision on Sunday, October 11, following recommendations from the federal cabinet and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The measures were introduced under Articles 232 and 234 of Pakistan's Constitution, with the government citing worsening security conditions and disagreements over counterterrorism cooperation.

Under the new arrangement, former Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and his provincial cabinet have lost their executive authority, with Governor Faisal Karim Kundi assuming responsibility for running the provincial government on behalf of the federal government.

A separate administrative secretariat has also been established for 12 districts, including areas of the former FATA tribal region, which will come directly under federal authority. The arrangement is initially expected to remain in place for six months.

The federal government has announced an 11-member advisory council to assist Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, with responsibilities assigned across major provincial departments.

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar announced the appointments, saying the council would support governance, administrative reforms and public service delivery.

Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan strongly condemned the decision during a press conference, describing it as undemocratic and a violation of provincial autonomy.

Gohar questioned the federal government's approach to addressing security concerns and rejected allegations that the former PTI administration had failed to cooperate in counterterrorism efforts.

He argued that combating terrorism requires national unity, political dialogue and cooperation between federal and provincial authorities rather than the suspension of an elected provincial government.

The PTI chairman announced that the party would challenge the decision through courts, parliamentary forums and public platforms, while calling for the restoration of the province's elected mandate.

PTI leaders also maintained that their planned long march demanding the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan would continue despite the emergency measures.

The political crisis has further intensified following reports of the arrests of three senior PTI figures: former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, PTI provincial president Junaid Akbar and provincial assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati.

PTI lawmaker Shahid Khattak reported the detention of Sohail Afridi and Junaid Akbar, while PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja was also cited in reports concerning the detention of Speaker Babar Saleem Swati.

The reported detentions followed the imposition of emergency measures and governor's rule in the province. Authorities have not publicly confirmed all three arrests or provided complete details about the circumstances of their detention.

The federal government maintains that the intervention was necessary to address serious security challenges, improve counterterrorism coordination and restore effective administration in the province.

PTI and other opposition leaders, however, argue that the decision undermines provincial autonomy and disregards the electoral mandate granted to Imran Khan's party.
