Where goaltenders who are keenly motivated & dedicated to improvement & development come to train & be inspired to be the best goaltender/person they can be
"Everybody wants to win.
Everybody doesn't necessarily want to prepare to win.
You have to learn to love the process that will put you in a position to achieve greatness."
Winning is public.
Preparation is private.
And most of the time, the private work decides the public result.
A mentor once told me: "One of the biggest reasons people stay stuck is that you can’t keep one foot in your old life and one in your new one. There’s no halfway version of growth. Decide who you want to be, and act like it. Every single damn day."
As part of a team you have to realize that sometimes you’ll be on the bench. When that happens you have 2 options: you can either sit & wait your turn or you can be active & engaged in helping your TEAM win. You can encourage others or be selfish. There’s really only one option!
Are you Coachable?
Coachable: “What can I do better?”
Uncoachable: “I already know this.”
Coachable: “I’ll take responsibility.”
Uncoachable: “It’s not my fault.”
Coachable: “I’ll put in the work.”
Uncoachable: “I don’t have time.”
Be Coachable.
Leaders with good judgment listen for what’s unsaid. They surround themselves with people who will tell them what they need to know — not what they want to hear. And they think carefully about the risks of implementation — even for small projects. https://t.co/wO8iNoTyI2
What’s the difference between a PRO, a PROSPECT, and an AMATEUR?
PROS - Do the same things, the same way, consistently over time.
PROSPECTS - Do some things consistently over time.
AMATEURS - Do most things consistently inconsistent.
Consistency Creates Excellence
No one became great by doing just ‘enough.’ Enough might make you good, but it’s not enough to become great. No one got to the top by cruising along. They put in the extra time and effort others weren’t willing to do.
