“Beyond the Average” was not what I imagined my thesis would become. I began this journey in 2021, and now, 3 months after defending it, its meaning feels clearer. Today, it stands as a quiet reminder, to rise above the average, beyond the comfort of the status quo.
Models mirror reality, but are built on assumptions and, if left unchallenged, become the norm. My work became an antithesis: a call to question, to reimagine, and to create better realities through informed decisions ‘beyond the average’. Grateful to my collaborators.

Attended an insightful breakfast talk at @GIPUppsala by George from @phosworks Key takeaway: Accessibility in products is crucial for everyone, whether it's situational, temporary, or permanent to enhance user experience. It's like using a glove with 4 fingers when you have five!
You can sequence your archived soils! New paper from a great group of collaborators where we found minimal differences in microbiome composition between air-dried and frozen samples after 8 years (!!) of storage
