I see many Pakistanis and some Muslims from other parts of the world who are butthurt over India's successful lunar landing. They are asking the same old, foolish question:

"But there's so much poverty in India, why waste $75 million on a 'useless lunar rover'?"

As if those $75 million would have eradicated the poverty challenges in #India.

This logic is incredibly dumb and, frankly, emerges from a position of being butthurt. If we applied this logic, we would have never landed on the moon and never sent rovers to Venus and Mars because all countries with space programs continue to experience poverty to this day.

You don't eradicate poverty by scrapping your space program or R&D; you eradicate it by INVESTING in science and tech.
