Do you think that a film or a series from other country should be screened in its original language or is it better to translate it into Spanish? @anajimenezm18 @PaulaLMyT_UAH #xl8debate
@anajimenezm18 @PaulaLMyT_UAH I think that there should be more cinemas, some of them made so you can see the original version in it. I would love to see every film in its original language, even if it's not English, so I can learn the culture of the country
@anajimenezm18 It is difficult for human translators who are professionals to do so, I don't think that a machine will be able to understand everything with all of its meanings. Btw, the article was very good, thank you for letting me know!!
I think that this is a great activity to do because people really want to do it and they don't think: oh it's just another boring task to do. They enjoy doing it, and this is very important. #xl8opinion
I have never done something similar in class, but I think it really helps us to see how the real world is. Interacting with people from the translation world makes me want to be a translator more than before. #xl8opinion
@anajimenezm18 you know that Amaia from OT might become so popular that she has to travel all around the world but she is unable to speak properly all the languages. Imagine us travelling by her side everyday. Wouldn't that be awesome? #xl8news
I read that people usually criticise the translation, talking about everything that the translator made wrong and this is a problem! Translation cannot be perfect. There are many differences between two language and it is really hard to achieve a good translation. #xl8news https://t.co/C5qAarhUnh
It is really important to treat well freelancers and to pay them what they asked for and on time. Companies should think that they may need translators in the future and if companies do not behave as they should, translators will not want to work with them. #xl8news https://t.co/QEn58DBgBh
"We live in an era where it is possible to make near-instantaneous transactions, yet the language industry opts for a method that often takes longer than it would to deliver the payment in person" @SimonKlys on getting paid as a freelance #translator#xl8 https://t.co/Pyx0EnDkme
It is heartbreaking to see that if this translating machine thrives and works as a human translator, translators will be no longer needed because it would much easier and cheaper to have this instead of a human being. #xl8news https://t.co/0hk5iDj7LS
It amazed me that a language was unknown for so many years! Jedek it is only spoken by 280 people, but I think that this kind of language is one of the most interesting ones because nobody knows anything about it! I want to travel there and see it with my own eyes!

Do you think that there should be more medical interpreters in order to be in a hospital when a person, who does not speak the official language of the country, has to be attended?@anajimenezm18#xl8assoc
It is very pleasant hearing this. Although English is really important, in a place like Hawaii, the most used language should be the Hawaiian. It is also good to know that translators and interpreters are more needed than before.

It is important in a language to use gender words so nobody could be excluded. It is also considerable for transsexual people and for non-binary people who may not be identified with specific terms. #xl8assoc https://t.co/8ZntWGKIOG
