As a Stanford graduate, I am deeply troubled to learn that resident physicians and fellows don’t earn enough to afford food, rent, childcare and other basic necessities.
Stanford needs to return to the bargaining table and work towards a fair contract that supports the well-being of both patients and the frontline resident physicians who care for them.
Congrats to resident physicians and fellows at MGB for organizing their union in the face of stiff resistance from management. They’ve joined more than 10,000 residents who have unionized this year to improve hospitals for physicians and their patients.
@HollyJMitchell Essential Workers are all part of a safety net. Every job is important. Don't leave thousands of Black and Brown LA County Essential Workers at Risk. #LACountyEssential
I stand with @cirseiu frontline physicians who have served our community with courage and dedication. The @CountyofLA must do the right thing & bargain in good faith to treat these heroes fairly & avoid a strike at our safety-net hospitals! #Care4UsLA#StrikeReady@LACountyCEO
Proud to stand w @cirseiu front line residents caring for our community during the pandemic. These heroes often work 80 hours/wk and earn below the minimum wage. @CountyofLA — they deserve better. @CaliforniaLabor @LALabor @seiucalifornia
New doctors should not be forced to work 80 hours a week for incredibly low wages. I’m proud to stand in solidarity with @CIRSEIU frontline physicians in @countyofla fighting not only for decent wages and working conditions, but to improve care for their patients.
Congratulations to UVM Medical Center residents on their overwhelming vote to unionize! New doctors should not be forced to work 80 hours a week for incredibly low wages. I’m proud to stand in solidarity with you.

Residents should not have to work 80 hours each week in a hospital. It was an honor to meet with residents at UVM Medical Center who are organizing a union in order to provide not only decent wages and working conditions, but to improve care for their patients.
Solidarity with the resident physicians at the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center who have filed to unionize with @CIRSEIU. They have worked tirelessly to keep our communities safe throughout this pandemic and now are organizing for the rights they deserve. Congratulations.

San Francisco holds employers to high standards to ensure they're caring for workers. @UCSFFresno uses the UCSF name then cuts meal plans for frontline resident physicians by 75%. I stand w/ @cirseiu members and demand that @UCSFFresno & @CommunityMed reinstate the meal stipend.
We've seen how truly heroic our healthcare workers are. Yet @UCSFFresno cut the meal stipends for their resident physicians. We can't tolerate this of @UCSFFresno. I stand w/ @cirseiu residents and call for their meal stipend to be reinstated!
2021 Gubernatorial Recall:
No (Keep Newsom) 61.9%
Yes 38.1%
2018 Gubernatorial Election:
Gavin Newsom 61.9%
John Cox 38.1%
What a massive waste of time, energy, and money. Recalls should not be used to just re-run a lost election half way through a term.
Resident physicians at @UCSFHospitals are being denied contractual parental leave after giving birth. Join us today for a Twitter storm to tell them this is UNACCEPTABLE. Pandemic frontline HCWs deserve better than this. Tweet at them to tell them what you think and tag us!
