@chrissiesmiles@drchatterjeeuk Perhaps it’s a case of accepting that any performance outcome was a sum of your abilities, training and motivation on that given point in time. Your performances were amazing but do not define you. Chrissie in 2022 brings so much more than in 2012 - just different.
@DrPhilipSkiba Thanks Philip. I was due to race Ironman Australia on Sunday. I’m still not 100% (but felt some pressure to still race) so good to see some expert opinion to validate.
@Doctor_Hutch Rest assured. Plenty have got off the bike in a triathlon and started running with helmets on. A few have started the bike in their wetsuits.
@StephenSeiler@Scienceofsport as per the discussion on your latest podcast some power data for review. I presume Pog and Vinegaard’s numbers would be similar.
@sweatscience I think where sports scientists/athletes are concerned there will always be lingering questions. Never go on a triathlon camp with a group of LCHF athletes (they’re obsessed).
@sweatscience It wasn’t a criticism Alex. I certainly need to reread certain chapters. I’m doing a “book club” with a psychologist mate to discuss once he’s finished it. I’ll see how my quads (and brain) perform in the Six Foot Track marathon next month.
@sweatscience I was somewhat surprised when I got to the end of the book. I thought there were 2 chapters left. Brilliant read Alex. Thank you. As a 20 year triathlete so much resonated with my own experiences.
