Just flew @WestJet from YWL to YYC, originally scheduled to depart at 4:10pm, so you would think plenty of time to get to our connecting 9:15pm flight to YYT. However in true @WestJet fashion, we were hit with a 5+ hour delay and landed at 9:30pm (continued below)

@catsa_gc @TravelsofGreg @DanAlbas @Transport_gc Just travelled from YLW to YYC on 2025-07-28 and it seems @ylwkelowna security hasn’t gotten the memo about shoe removal. They are still requesting passengers remove shoes domestically.

And surprise surprise, @WestJet has not reached out to address my complaint, nor did they take any accountability when I spoke with customer service at the airport.

@TravelsofGreg @WestJet I’m still shocked by the complete lack of assistance and customer service. What @WestJet gets away with is criminal. Our connecting flight sat at the gate with the doors closed and didn’t depart until 45+ minutes after we arrived. Our seats were given away to those on standby.

@TravelsofGreg @WestJet We could have been on that flight. Despite our efforts, we were left behind because @WestJet is only concerned about its bottom $$ and not with its customers needs. A complaint to the CTA is incoming.

Despite clear communication that we needed to get to YYT as scheduled, we were bumped to a flight 24 hours later. We weren’t even deplaned in YYC and had received an email that we were bumped. This was entirely avoidable. Absolutely horrible customer service from @WestJet.

@CupeAB @660NEWS as a former employee this type of behaviour from senior mgmt does not come as a surprise. Nepotism is rampant, working conditions have long been unsafe, and mgmt takes no issue removing staff who make waves about working conditions / unfair internal treatment @CBCAlerts
