Excited regarding the upcoming LAAC summit at NY Valves! This will be packed with excellent sessions focused on the latest and greatest in this space for EPs and structuralists alike! @crfheart@TCTConference
In the EXCEL trial, the lower rate of myocardial infarction after CABG was largely driven by fewer events related to graft failure and fewer infarctions arising from untreated vessels, compared with the higher burden of stent failure–related events and infarctions in non-stented vessels after PCI. In contrast, there was no evidence to support the traditional theory that CABG reduces MI by protecting against new events occurring proximal to the graft insertion site. https://t.co/8hwDTRmemT
trial analysis: Spontaneous MI occurs more frequently after PCI vs CABG for left main disease (6.8% vs 3.4% at 5 years) and strongly predicts cardiovascular & all-cause mortality. Key consideration for Heart Team decision-making in LMCAD https://t.co/8j0fU6vlp2
Thanks much for highlighting the nurse and technology symposium @TCTConference! We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with the whole heart team as part of these sessions!
🧵1/ It’s an interventional cardiology takeover this weekend at #TCT2025 in San Francisco! Day 1 kicks off with the Cardiovascular Nurse and Technologist Symposium — and we’re excited to highlight Columbia’s team leading conversations and innovation across sessions👇
📊 Real-world analysis: At 3 years, pts w/severe TR faced high rates of death, adverse events, & significant healthcare costs. More long-term data needed to evaluate the value of transcatheter therapies. https://t.co/UtyOdqkoh6 @MVMadhavanMD@colinbarkerMD@djc795@PopmaJeffrey
Congrats @MMarinCuartas@SyedZaidMD et al for the CUTTING-EDGE failed M-TEER registry MV repair vs replacement JUST OUT @JACCJournals#JACCINT! Most MV gets replaced with worse outcomes. Will see how REPAIR-MR and PRIMARY trial play out down the road!
