I camped below Beinn Eighe with two mates in the 80s. There was still quite a bit of wreckage of a bomber below the triple buttress, some fuselage and at least one wheel. Next day was too wild to do the traverse so we headed for Liathach.

@cairngorms ...so it was a long hot clamber down to near where the post office used to be in Torridon. But I was hooked and it was the first of many trips to the glorious Western Highlands of Scotland.

@cairngorms We descended and camped by the river in Glen Torridon.
It dawned sunny and clear so went up straight up the side and we were greeted by a stunning view of Beinn Allighin and the islands from the top. A guidebook described a quick descent via a scree run but it has deteriorated...
