@whistlesauger@BiotechAnalysst Not an Apple story but more of an Arrowhead fate. Great technology, media shy management, low-balled by big pharma. Arrowhead has gone through all these. The day fo SGMO will come.
I like the way you look at ARWR’s cardio assets as near term catalyst as opposed to Dirk’s bet on lung related. I agree that the bigger upside towards a 20-50bn market cap for ARWR may be on its lung assets but between now and 10bn market cap it will be the cardios which are in Phase III and close to commercialization.
@BikeRieder@BioBoyScout If they really want to buy something like this why they say it out so much but doing so little. A real strategy usually is one that’s kept secret. I am more incline NOT to believe a Novartis take-over will materialize. Actually, take over is unnecessary for $ARWR. Be patient.
@Piddybul @BioPharmaDive Intact asset with intact KD results. Potentially more exciting data from JNJ’s extensive permutation on JNJ-3989 (which is not fully shared with ARWR yet). $ARWR benefited either taking this asset back or having it assigned to a new partner.
@Piddybul JNJ’s own capsid assembly modulator was proven to be ineffective as a combinatorial addition. Whereas JNJ-3989 plus NUC themselves could already knock down HBsAg in 36% of patients for up to 336 days as per https://t.co/jVAiXl9KLC
@Piddybul I wish people opining can at least have a recap on history of the JNJ-3989 development. It was very clearly publicized that JNJ-6379 was useless based on REEF trial and thus a discontinuation was anticipated. JNJ3989 plus NUC, however, was safe and effective.
@sonichedgefund@cmac_lax_atx@jfais20 If the finding of HBV is a Nobel prize award, the discovery or HBsAg’s mechanism in blocking human immune response could certainly be another one, perhaps even more profound.
@sonichedgefund@cmac_lax_atx@jfais20 Also not to forget that the findings showed evidence that a high level of HBsAg is what’s hindering the immune response and thus the chronic nature of HBV. This drug alone could be a monotherapy but with an immune booster certainly helps to quicker reactivate immune response.
Pascal Touchon has been around cell therapy for a long time, and today he's the first to have an allo T-cell therapy approved. We talk about that, the EBV hypothesis for multiple sclerosis, and cell therapy for solid tumors
