The St Machar was the pub I drank in during my PhD & the patron Saint of Aberdeen. Interests - beer, noise, techno, science, sci fi & other random oddities.

Apparently 13 years ago today since @PeterAlanRoss interviewed me about Whitby Goth Weekend. Long time since we've been now - about 7 years I think... I'm not doing an interview about @BANGFACE! Sorry Peter!

[Gillian @Machar]

Did I really hear @EMFTheBand name check @FourTet last night at their gig? Didn't expect my last two gigs to collide like that!

[Gillian @Machar]

Going to see this lot tomorrow at @O2RitzManc. Would love to see them at Butlins Skegness - bit different from the last lot of bands I saw there!

@dmonbeer Evening from Manchester #aurora #aurorauk

[Gillian @Machar]

@razzledazzlegem Oh no! Nope I didn't attempt it.

[Gillian @Machar]

@razzledazzlegem Still there?

[Gillian @Machar]

@UtahSaints I was there. The whole gig was just mind blowing - trabants as spotlights, helicopters, giant screens iirc. Some gigs just stay with you and that was one of them!

[Gillian @Machar]

@Mozgirl71 @tbaucells @SoVeryBritish I still remember the TV adverts!

[Dr Louise Newson @drlouisenewson]

Prof Robert Langer speaking here was one of the Women’s Health Initiative study investigators - this study was misreported in both the medical press and media by a small group of the investigators (not him). These people had their own agenda but it is still unclear why they did this.

This misreporting has lead to over two decades of unnecessary fear about HRT resulting in women needlessly suffering with both symptoms and health risks of not taking HRT.

@razzledazzlegem Good grief that's shocking! My friends in Hulme and Chorlton could hear it but nothing over here...

Legal update:
I am currently waiting for the court to set a date for the proof hearing.

Legal fees:
Unfortunately, I am behind on legal fees. The exact amount is unclear as it is spread across several invoices, but it totals several thousand pounds. To maintain my mental health, I have avoided calculating the precise total.

Donations:
It is very difficult to to keep asking for more donations. I want to assure everyone that I am also contributing to this fight. I have donated my Adult Disability Allowance for this month to the GoFundMe campaign and will continue to do so monthly if possible.

Thank you all for your continued support.

@UtahSaints @thetradesclub @beardedtheory Oooh I just made it in there! I've been telling my mob how good the Trades gig was and we're all coming to see you at Bearded Theory - cannot wait!

[Gillian @Machar]

@Beathhigh I hope you've had time to sample some of our excellent drinking establishments and brewery taps?

[Gillian @Machar]

@UtahSaints @thetradesclub @beardedtheory Thank you for such an amazing set!

[Gillian @Machar]

15 gigs so far this year and @UtahSaints at @thetradesclub was the best yet. Absolutely amazing, ended up in the front row for most of it and danced like a loon. Can't wait to see them again @beardedtheory!

[Gillian @Machar]

Oh no! Help a @Marvel fan get his wedding ring back! #Manchester what can you do?!

[Lee Petcher 🌱 @LeePetcher]

#Manchester - I need your help!

Yesterday I ran the @Marathon_Mcr but I lost my wedding ring.

I think it came off on Chester Road after the White City roundabout.

This is a picture of the ring it has 'I love you 3000' inscribed inside it too.

Plz help me get it back!
