Last year, I had the opportunity to interview Ed Logg, the programmer behind games like Asteroids, Centipede, Gauntlet, and many more. That interview was originally intended to be part of a straightforward career retrospective. However, over the proceeding months...
@mrmoczan@Taikwy You can go back! My feed is almost exclusively cool indie shit. For me, muting a good handful of words and not interacting with bait has kept my feed cool for years.
@misterbigpants I wound up playing through the first four worlds right away, thank you! The game is fun, but it’s still in that Super Meat Boy mold, more focused on precision platforming and avoiding spikes than unique feel of those older Mario games. Maybe I just need to play some ROM hacks?
I may have asked before, but can anyone recommend any PC platformers that feel similar to Mario 3? I’m really not into Celeste, and the super punishing games like Meat Boy don’t really do it for me either.
Seeing such a positive response to the new edition of You Are Empty. That was from ZOOM Platform, which is a great DRM-free storefront for games. They also distribute on Steam, but I would urge anyone who appreciates their work on that game to also check out their site!
Watching the Columbo pilot. I love that they waited over 30 minutes to introduce Columbo. Once he shows up, his charisma immediately takes over the scene
I just published my review of the Joe & Mac Retro Collection! I go over a bit of the history of the series and show everything that this new collection has to offer!
@spectraimsim He’s describing an issue seen in many businesses & platforms. Co-ops or employee owned businesses address those issues, but they aren’t intended to work on a very large scale, especially not a global scale like Steam. “Better” platforms exist but won’t serve the same audience.
📢IT'S HERE. Divine Frequency EA is finally RELEASED! ON STEAM NOW!
We had some hard times along the way but the support was INSTRUMENTAL. Thanks to everyone who believed in the soul of the project! We can't wait to show what else is to come!

@Gaming_Journal_ To my memory, it is relatively short. A bit repetitive in some of the combat and enemy distribution, but the game is full of wild visuals that kept me pushing through to the end. I’ve never played the old God of War games but I’ve been told it plays similarly,
@ArtMacro True! I've seen a few good fan-made upscales online, but they are super rare in my experience. Too many people seem to be okay cutting corners and letting things like eyes, letters, hair, and other fine details become strange mush.
It is incredible to me how much art is being destroyed by these shitty AI "remasters" and upscales. Truly disgusting to me. Who is making these decisions? Who thinks this is actually an improvement?
