There are places we pass through in life… and there are places that become part of who we are.
Manchester will forever be my home.
To the city, the club, and every supporter, my sincerest thank you. These past four years have been unforgettable, filled with moments my family and I will carry with us for the rest of our lives. There simply aren’t enough words to describe the happiness and warmth we’ve felt here.
Thank you for every cheer, every memory, and for making us feel at home from the very first day.
Forever a Red Devil ❤️
Health Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale today held consultative discussions with Prof. Lukoye Atwoli, Dean and International President of the World Health Summit Regional Meeting (WHSRM) 2026, as Kenya intensifies preparations to host the prestigious global forum at the United Nations Offices in Nairobi from 27–29 April 2026.
Held under the theme “Reimagining African Health Systems: Innovation, Integration, and Interdependence,” the summit is expected to convene more than 2,000 delegates from over 50 countries, bringing global health leaders, policymakers, researchers, and development partners to Nairobi. Hosting the meeting marks a major milestone for Kenya and underscores the country’s rising profile in global health diplomacy.
Hon. Duale, who was accompanied by the Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Ms Mary Muthoni, noted that the summit’s theme aligns strongly with Kenya’s national drive towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC). He emphasised that the forum presents a strategic opportunity to position Nairobi as a continental hub for health innovation while showcasing Kenya’s leadership in Primary Health Care reforms and broader health system transformation.
The World Health Summit Regional Meeting will provide a high-level platform for dialogue on pressing health challenges, foster the exchange of innovative and evidence-based solutions, and strengthen collaboration across sectors and regions. While placing Africa’s health priorities at the centre, the forum will also advance globally relevant approaches aimed at building resilient and equitable health systems.
The Cabinet Secretary reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to clearly defined national priorities, strengthened regional partnerships, and ensuring that the outcomes of the summit translate into lasting gains for the country’s health system beyond the event itself.
Wishing everyone joyful festivities and a Merry Christmas 🎄✨
As we celebrate, may we also remember the vulnerable among us—those in need of care, compassion, and solidarity.

Today, on behalf of @WHO, I was honoured to hand over a major consignment of medical supplies and equipment to H.E. President @WilliamsRuto and to the Government and people of Kenya 🇰🇪.
The support includes 14 fully equipped ambulances, 233 medical oxygen cylinders, nearly 3000 emergency preparedness & response medical supplies and equipment, reproductive and maternal health commodities and equipment as well as medicines to treat #NTDs, all valued at over US$ 2.3m.
These investments will help strengthen emergency referral systems, maternal and newborn care, outbreak readiness and critical care across Kenya.

Winnie Odinga shared a beautiful bond with her dad and it really shows in this behind-the-scenes video of the making of Jakom’s official portrait from 2017. She was the one directing the shoot, and you can see how naturally she made him feel at ease, cracking jokes.
