@SenWarren In the years you’ve been in congress the government has spent $83 Trillion. Do you really think another $50 Billion will make a difference? We don’t have a revenue problem we have a spending problem thanks to parasite politicians like you.
The World Cup has turned America into a discovery channel for the rest of the world.
And they are not handling it well.
In the best possible way.
Here is what they are discovering:
Free public restrooms. Europeans pay every time.
Free water at every restaurant. Just appears.
Free refills. Coffee. Sodas. Iced tea. Unlimited.
Free chips and salsa before you even order.
Free warm bread with dinner.
Ice in drinks like civilized people.
Air conditioning everywhere. Not a moral debate. A fact.
Parking lots attached to the actual place you are going.
Drive throughs where the food comes to the car while you sit in it.
Ranch dressing by the gallon.
Tex-Mex that cannot be explained only experienced.
Dental care that actually works.
Buccee’s. There are no words for Buccee’s.
Then they found the grocery stores.
Five of them within one mile.
Each one the size of an aircraft hangar.
Burgers. Steaks. Brisket. Ribs. Pulled pork. Lamb. Veal. Every cut of every animal ever domesticated by human civilization available in one refrigerated aisle at ten in the morning on a Tuesday.
The Germans stood in the meat section for forty five minutes.
In silence.
Processing.
They finally understand why we do not have trains.
We have roads wide enough for the cars we actually drive.
Parking lots the size of small European countries.
Airports in every city worth visiting.
Why would we need trains.
The Germans are taking ranch home by the bottle.
The Dutch found queso and briefly lost the ability to speak.
The Japanese are photographing HEB like it is the Louvre.
The Czechs are weeping in West, Texas.
Welcome to America.
Everything is free, enormous, air conditioned, comes with chips, and has five grocery stores within a mile that will sell you any cut of any animal you have ever imagined.
Write that down. 🦋
@PatsyDiabetes What people don’t understand is the money pie is growing, it’s not finite. It grows by starting companies, creating jobs, producing more products and creating wealth. Musk employs 160,000 people at an average salary on $150,000.
@RoKhanna Well you’re in congress, if you don’t like the rules he plays by, which I believe are the same rules for every business, then change the rules. Isn’t that why you’re there?
@Heccles94 His trillion is mostly tied up in companies that employ 160,000 people at an average salary of $150,000. How many of those jobs are you willing to destroy so you can have government confiscate some of his wealth and waste it on more than they do now?
@buggirl He employs 160,000 people with an average salary on $150,000. How many of those jobs are you willing to destroy in order to confiscate some of his wealth?
@AOC You left out the part where Elon created 4,400 millionaires overnight. Many of them hourly workers. As a government rep how many millionaires have you created besides yourself?
@SenWarren How did you make your money Lizzie? At least Elon provides products people want to buy by choice and you demonize it. This is nothing more than class warfare grifting from a low life politician that’s never done anything productive in her life except leaching off the taxpayer.
@RoKhanna@BernieSanders Right. So you will take his money out of profitable businesses that actually that actually deliver wanted products and employ 10s of thousands of people and instead open more ‘Learing’ Centers providing kick backs to politicians. Fuck off.
@simonateba@elonmusk Personally, I don’t give a flying fuck what Elon does. It doesn’t affect me. The government and politicians, however, steal waste and otherwise burn my tax dollars which affects me directly. I am far more concerned about government screwing all of us than anything.
